Couldn't find anything specifically on electronic music for this year.
What're your favorite electronic acts for this year? What should not be missed?

AMAZING electronic lineup this year with a focus on house and techno - the best electronic genres. This is what's hot in Europe right now, seems Coachella wants to move forward past this cheese-EDM americans seem to be so set on (with a few notably terrible exceptions - danny avila, nicky romero, dillon francis, Knife Party, Benny Benassi, Hardwell, and Mord Fustang should all be skipped). Here are my highlights:
FRIDAY
Bassnectar
Dog Blood

Holy hell Sunday is going to be awesome!!!
Thank you, I completely agree. I feel as if I cannot leave the house without hearing something about EDM. I have a love for electronic music, but this "dubstep" crap makes me feel as if something is dying. It sounds like construction workers are building on crack. I'm being told that it is going to get bigger and bigger in the music industry, and I am just keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn't.
Weekend 2

As my friend says, "Well it's garbage. People are allowed to like whatever they want to But those people are WRONG."
that was a good laugh.

Me? I just wanted you to stay.
This is what's hot in Europe? Do you even know what you're saying? The people you said NOT to see are more popular and are more "hot" in Europe than the ones you mentioned that you shouldn't miss. You're very opinionated and that's fine, but don't make dumb statements that aren't true.
Sonicc - Try looking at the scenes in Germany and the UK, there's almost no cheese in those places. Some of the big European festivals (Tomorrowland, in particular) draw a large number of Americans that go to see the kind of stuff you like, so that skews the numbers.
Also, I heard themule was talking shit about Swedish House Mafia.
I know the scenes in Germany and the UK perfectly well - I lived in Germany for over 3 years and the scene was very underground except for a few festivals. The majority of the clubs and festivals however had big-room house DJs, so yeah... Also you forgot to mention the majority of the house/tech-house DJs are actually more popular in Spain more than anything but are still overwhelmed by what you called the "cheese" DJs.
Fuck "themule"
Definitely looking forward to Saturday..
Knife Party
Simian Mobile Disco
Richie Hawtin
Booka Shade
Kill the Noise
Baauer
Birdy Nam Nam
gonna be fun, no doubt, and that's not even including all the hiphop: 2chainz, danny brown, el-p, pusha t, action bronson
damn. my kind of day.
Roni Size is pretty much it for DNB on the lineup, but if you love that shit you will have a great time at Mimosa, Pretty Lights and Bassnectar, they all play some DNB mixed with glitch and some 'light' dubstep. Beardyman would be a good call too.
But don't despair! The Do Lab always has plenty of underground DNB booked.
