I just discovered The 2 Bears this evening, and I'm really liking it. It seems like there's potential for a fun, early afternoon dance party with this one. The song Work is particularly catchy.

I've seen DIIV twice (Opening for Wild Nothing and opening for Japandroids) and they were really fucking good. Don't miss them.

That sounds awesome. Is that clip on youtube anywhere? I didn't have them on my list of smaller bands to see. But I need to add them! Who would you say they sound like?

To me they sound like old school goth rock (think Souxsie and the Banshees) crossed with shoegaze. Very cool sound if you like either or both of those styles.

So I had a long time in the car today and listened to bands I don't know or don't know well.

JEFF the Brotherhood - another two piece punkish band, Japandroidsesque I suppose. I will be there.
    Palma Violets - fuck yes.
Youth Lagoon - what the XX would sound like if the XX had a pulse.
Mona - the most difficult assessment of the day. I will probably check them out barring conflict just to see how they come across live. But their album.. let's call it Bon Jovi meets U2. Bono Jovi. it's the singer, he's got that arena rock voice. which might be fun in a tent early in the day?
Wild Belle - reggaeish pop. Not bad.
