Forget about The Replacements > The Knife > Outkast, it's all about Smash Mouth > Barenaked Ladies > Outkast

I was hoping for $85! I'm out of town til Saturday evening that weekend and would have considered going on Sunday if that had either Outkast/The Cure + at least 3 other bands I like, but not for $149. Nah.

Whenever I think of Smash Mouth, I always think of this SNL skit:

Probably will be cheaper Sunday tickets on Craigslist by the people burnt out on the fest by then. Did it even sell out last year?

Anyone have a copy of the schedule from last year? It looks like there were three stages, but what time does the fest end? Trying to figure out if its worth it to get a hotel or just drive back to SF each day.

It was spectacular. I had to coerce my friend into driving us the hour down to get there. Then we found marines who could buy us booze. Then I had to hide from my marine in a porta john because he got way too handy and apparently couldn't take the hint of me continually pushing him away from me.

I think it was around 10 PM, but there was something about this year's festival ending earlier.

Yes I did (why wouldn't I? I grew up in Napa)..and it was awesome. Sure they have cheeseball bands, but they also have really great bands. The music was great, the crowds were great, and you can complain all you want about promoters not paying certain people, but that happens at every festival in its first year....its just most people in Napa are fucking idiots and blow shit up to be bigger deals. But whatever, last year was great (awesome bands, awesome food, I had a ride to/from, house to stay in)...it all worked out, and I'll be doing it again.

Pretty bad lineup but they booked The Cure, The Fray, Spin Doctors and Howie Day so it beats Bonnaroo by a landslide

I saw them in '97 with Everlast and 2 Skinnee J's. I actually still like a few songs on 14:59 (but God, I never want to hear 'Fly' again).
We're here to play some Mississippi Delta Blues. We're in a horrible depression, and I gotta admit - we're starting to like it.

They probably took what they could get after last year's fiasco. This fest is lucky it's seeing a second year.

This lineup looks like they had $4mil to spend, but could only spend 2 weeks choosing names.

How do you book so many 90's acts and not book Veruca Salt of Luscious Jackson?

Hate all you want, I'll enjoy this lineup just fine. A weekend filled with full sets from the Cure, OutKast, Deerhunter, Black Angels, Camper van Beethoven, De La Soul, Matt & Kim, Thee Oh Sees, Cracker, and Keep Shelly in Athens? I'm there.
