    Question British at Coachella

So I was just wondering if anybody from the UK - who has been to Coachella before - could tell me how easy/difficult it is to arrange? With not actually living in the US? From flights, to tickets, to accommodation and camping? Any info would be amazing! Thanks!

There is another thread from some Brit girls that has a ton of good info on it. Look through the Questions forum.

I did Coachella coming from the UK ten years ago. The only minor problem is getting from LA to Coachella, first time I used Greyhound, second time rented a car.

Renting a car is the way to go with car camping, if you are young, adventurous and have a back that can carry things then you should be able to fill a back pack with tent, sleeping bag, clothes etc. Treat it a bit like Glastonbury, quite hard to get to without a car but still possible.

Fly into LAX, rent a car and drive East for a couple hours-pretty straight drive. When you get there, find a Walmart- they will have everything you need (there is one about 10min from the venue).

Buy a ticket - book a flight - rent a car - find a hotel/somewhere to camp. No different than planning for any other festival abroad- apart from a greater need for sunblock.

I'm going this year, travelling from Germany (as I'm moving there from London in a few weeks). And I'm going alone. I'm staying in San Francisco the week before the festival, then renting a car to drive down to Coachella and to sleep in. Should be an adventure and loads of fun!

if you're bold try connecting with someone from the board...many people meet up in LAX or towns nearby and go together.

If it was me I'd get car camping and rent a car in lax to drive out. Bus system in USA is not very good + cost isn't gonna save you only $20. Book your car in advance.
Just when I think you couldn't possibly be any dumber, you go and do something like this…and totally redeem yourself!

You could stay in a motel anywhere along Hwy 111 all the way up to Palm Springs and stand in the road with a Coachella sign and everyone going there would give you a ride to the show.

    Camping sucks in the heat!

I wouldn't say no to a hardcore, ball-pounding DP session with Thomas Hardy and Alex Pettyfer.

I'm coming from England with my friend. We booked greyhounds from LA to Indio as we don't drive. Was this a bad idea? How far is the greyhound station to the festival?

They are neighboring towns and mesh into each other....so to answer your question: not to far. However, with these dusty towns the cabs may be really hard to come by. You may have a wait a long while after you call in your order for a ride.
