    Default Sleep Music

I fall asleep to pretty much the same songs every night. Hoping for some recommendations from you boardies.

Here's what I've been listening to:

    Underworld - "Louisiana"
Mr Hudson - "There Will Be Tears"
    Bloc Party - "Signs"
Iron & Wine - "Each Coming Night"
Iron & Wine - "Fever dream"
M83 - "My Tears are becoming A Sea"
Sufjan Stevens - "Casimir Lulanski Day"
Sparklehorse & Danger Mouse - "Revenge"
    Sparklehorse - "It's A Wonderful Life"
    Guster - "Lighting Rod"
    Mansions - "You Got Cool"
    Now, Now - "Prehistoric"
    Destroyer - "Kaputt"
    Young the Giant - "Islands"
    Coldplay - "Sparks"
The Format - "On Your Porch"
    Silversun Pickups - "Three Seed"
Silversun Pickups - "All The Go Inbetweens"
Neil Halstead - "Witless or Wise"
The Antlers - "Sylvia" (I really don't know how, but I knock out to it every time)
    Mos Def - "The Panties"
    The Weeknd - "The Zone"
    Nujabes - "Peaceland"

I don't fall asleep to music. But almost every morning when I wake up, there is a song playing in my head - which sometimes sticks with me for hours, even at work.

For two years, I used to fall asleep to The Strokes - Is This It. It's a bit energetic, but there's a great late-night vibe that works well to drift off to if you have it at low volumes.

Popol Vuh - Hosianna Mantra has been doing the trick for me over the past few months.

Mazzy Star - So Tonight That I Might See is a good one for me.

That's a great one. It's weird when the upbeat songs put you to sleep. It was the same for me with Washed Out - New Theory.

I've been hung up on Wild Beasts for the last year and made a mix of songs included in their Coachella set that's been reliable:

    "Bed of Nails"
"We Still Got the Taste Dancing On Our Tongues"
    "The Fun Powder Plot"
    "This Is Our Lot"
    "Loop the Loop"
    "Reach a Bit Further"
    "All the King's Men"
    "Hooting & Howling"
    "End Come Too Soon"

Fever Ray's eponymous debut is also much used, particularly "Concrete Walls," "Now's the Only Time I Know," "I'm Not Done," and "Keep the Streets Empty for Me."

This must be an old guy thing. I'm exactly the same way. Sometimes I'll know why I have the song in my head, other times it seems to come out of nowhere.

On the rare occasions I do want to listen to music to help me fall asleep it will be one of Eno's ambient albums.
