I don't see Hot Chip headlining Outdoor. Just can't imagine them at that status yet. I think they'd be better suited in a tent like M83 last year and Cut Copy the year before it (Mojave I think?). They'll most likely put Two Door Cinema Club (or a act akin to them) before Hot Chip as well.

I also see New Order in an Outdoor spot, similar to Duran Duran's time a couple of years ago.

Why? If they close the outdoor they would get a longer set in total darkness. Besides New Order makes more sense for the 730 main stage slot.

Closing the outdoor would accommodate their demands to play at night and what's supposed to be a big setup. Having them sandwiched between other acts seems like a guaranteed source of drama.

Florence had a full lights show int he dark, as did Feist. I could argue both acts have a wider fan base than Sigur Ros.

Sigur Ros in daytime is a compromised experience, as seen by the Jonsi set without the light show.

I think from Franz to Phoenix your main stage is exactly on. Think Violent Femmes will be in a tent though, throw something from the fifth line maybe. 2 Chainz?

Outdoor is close too. I get a Mojave at night vibe from 2DCC, and wouldn't Bat for Lashes fare better at night? Yeasayer might be an outdoor contender over 2DCC. But this schedule looks like a great starting point for Saturday.

After FYF, I see Yeasayer on the main so that is why I put them there but I can also see them on the Outdoor or even Mojave.



I also picture the XX on the main then the younger crowd moving over to see Hot Chip close the outdoor after while the dedicated Sigur Ros fans are at the main stage set before Phoenix. Sigur Ros more than deserve the "Animal Collective" awkward middle spot in between the much more popular band (Mumford & Sons/xx) and the closer.




FYI, I am using the 2011 set times almost exactly because we had a 6th stage that year. Still, not having the exact times on the spread sheet for each act trips people up while looking at it.

Why? They are billed for it. First three have virtually always been on the main, and I can't remember or find a time where the #4 has displaced the #2 or #3 on the main. Sigur Ros could tentatively go before the #3, sure, but their show is so dependent on lights, whereas New Order's is not. New Order --> Postal Service --> the XX --> Phoenix makes so much sense, with Sigur Ros closing or maybe playing in between the XX/Phoenix gap. I agree with whoever said think of Sigur Ros as Florence from last year's poster.
