I have to admit I was kind of disappointed at FYF, I didn't feel the sound system was really doing them justice. (I was also near the mid-back of the crowd.) Really looking forward to hearing them a bit better at coachella.

Dinosaur Jr.'s been my favorite band for years. Seen them live several times and I'm psyched to finally see them at Coachella. Earplugs recommended. They are loud. Not MBV loud but still loud enough to justify earplugs.

I have definitely experienced hearing loss the day after a Dinosaur Jr. show and I think I was 16-17 years old. Freaked me out the day after when ebrything sounded muffled. Went and got a good set of headphones after that and use them depending on where I'm located at a show.
The influence Shields and Mascis have on one another in regards to the levels is undeniable.

so I'm picturing a sort of 8pm mainstage LCD Soundsystem set.. except that doesn't jibe at all with being 4th line on the poster. so are we thinking like a 5pm mainstage Breeders/Yo La Tengo/Wilco kind of set time? or an evening Outdoor slot? what do you think? Inquiring minds want to know.

Yeah, saw them years ago at Lollapalooza. Saw people leaving in droves because the volume AND the feedback was way too overwhelming. I thought they were loud, but then later Ministry came out and i swear I saw trees wilting from the onslaught.
