They have been one of my favorite bands for a while, haven't gotten the recognition they deserve. They always put on a great performance, so go check them out if you can!

They whooped so much ass last year when I saw them at the fox. They were good at osl as well but only had like 45 minutes. Which will probably be the case here too.

I have seen them 3 times now and I'm happy Coachella 2013 will be the 4th. The first time I caught them was at Coachella in 2010...I was so shitfaced for the early afternoon set...I remember none of it.

I missed them in 2010, but won't this year. In the Mountain in the Cloud was my favorite album of 2011.

Discovering them at 2010 Coachella was one of the most memorable Coachella moments for me in the last 3 going on 4 yrs. I've seen them live a bunch since. Highlight for me was my girlfriend and I flying from Phoenix to Seattle for a weekend to see them at the Showbox. In the last yr or so their sound has gotten alittle heavier and louder. Plus I was bummed to see Ryan the keyboardist leave the band. Seen one show with the new keyboardist. He was alright though it was one of his first shows with them.

I've seen them so much over the last couple years I wish I was more excited about this. After seeing a pretty mediocre daytime slot on the main stage at OSL, I think they really should get a night time Mojave slot. But Saturday is so stacked... argh!

Really pumped about this. I've only seen them once, and it was before I got into them. Hope they play some songs off Church Mouth. Such an incredible album.

I was sad to not see them listed a little higher. Perfect twilight band in my opinion. Heres to hoping it wont be a main stage daytime act.

I really want to catch this set, because I missed them in 2010, but Saturday is going to be conflict hell for me.

Couldn't agree more. Their OSL showing wasn't great but saw them a couple months after in Dallas with a more intimate setting and it was amazing. Put them in a tent or outdoor stage but most likely will be a day spot on the main stage.

Saw them at Lolla 2011 and headline the free "Who Shot Rock N Roll?" concert series at Annenberg Space for Photography (LA).

    So stoked.

seen them 10 times now, still excited to see them again. they'll have some new material to play and hopefully a different setlist than they've been rolling out for the last few years.

like stated above, the new keyboardist is Kyle O'Quin from the bands Kay Kay And His Weathered Underground and Wild Orchid Children. both amazing bands, and Kyle is very talented. check them out.

I'm still butthurt that they didn't do any la area shows in April. The closest show they did was at the Santa Barbara bowl the week after week 2 which is too far for me. Hopefully they'll play at lib again.

Saw that Santa Barbara show. Nothing like their headliner gigs (basically, you didn't miss anything if you caught their Coachella '13 set).

I finagled a trip to Nashville with my job just so it would coincide with the P.TM show this Friday. For the last three years, P.TM has been my most reliable go-to band when I need a friend.

So the incredibly awesome and socially aware Portugal. The Man recorded a song for the estimated 400 Sumatran tigers left in existence. The single is on vinyl that "degrades" each time it's played until it goes extinct. They printed only 400 copies and sent them to media and artists, who will need to "save" the song from extinction - and bring awareness to this heart-breaking reality. What a wonderful, creative way to get the word out about these majestic, beautiful creatures before they're all killed off.

The project is called Endangered Song. 400 tigers. 400 records. And then there's you.

Go find the song and share it with your circles. Through dialogue and awareness we can ignite change.

Share the song. Spread the message.
    #EndangeredSong
    #EarthDay
    #SumatranTiger

Here is a video about the campaign, followed by another video of the actual song, which is excellent. Heard them play it live in Nashville a couple weeks ago. And if you haven't seen P.TM play a solo show, do yourself a favor and catch them on their next tour. Their festival and subbing gigs do not do them justice.

And here's the actual fantastic song P.TM recorded for the Sumatran tigers (hard to find a downloadable version):

5/26 Update: P.TM fans can download a good quality version of the Endangered Song here.
