ah, i guess it just boils down to personal taste then; i don't enjoy the majority of these acts and/or understand their popularity (disclosure in particular). cool that a lot of people seem stoked about it though.

I bet there's a huge number of kids who are trying to sell their presales and go to Ultra, honestly.
I was thinking they booked all those superstar turds last year just to make sure the two-weekend experiment worked out, so selling out briefly was for the greater good. This more than makes up for it lol.

The frat bros and their hos all around the US are so pissed right now.

Trap got old really fast. Only act worth seeing is TNGHT in my opinion, and that's on the more experimental side of bass music.

There's still plenty of room for improvement, most of the acts have kind of overdid it on the fest circuit, but it's a major shift in the right direction, so good on you GV. If I go (major if), it's nice to know I could spend most of the day on Sunday in the Sahara.

I wish GV would move SMD and Booka Shade to Sunday. As it is, I probably won't get to see either of them. Boo.

So perfect in my opinion, Sunday is the least stacked when it comes to bands.

THANK YOU. I turned to all of my friends I was with at Roger Waters and was just like "I'm going to go." I just felt like something was missing in my life, and I RAN over to the Sahara by myself and walked in at this exact moment and ran into a group of old friends from high school I hadn't seen in years. Video just gave me chills. Will always remember that moment.

Why wouldn't you get to see them?

And Sunday looks like it's gonna be booked from top to bottom with great stuff, so I don't know how many more conflicts I'd want heh

Have you taken a look at Saturday's lineup? I have 3 or 4 more important artists to see than them, and they will all be playing in the dark.

edit: although Booka Shade might be playing during daylight (which is unfortunate for them -- but then I can probably see them)

My guess is that Booka will probably end up in a late-afternoon slot... There is hope yet.

    love all of these comments.

my personal favorite and i think THE act to see all weekend is luciano. the guy is UNBELIEVABLE. his party has been called the best the past 2 years in ibiza and his style/DJing skills are unprecedented.

i saw him this past NYD at an afterhours party at a brooklyn warehouse - played from 9am to 1PM. wowow! this guy had 4 CDJs going on the entire time - each had a different sound/melody/beat going and he was literally producing music on the spot. next level.

also - huge fan of joris voorn. one of the best tech-house DJs on the planet right now.

So with the different direction the dance music is taking this year, will the Sahara still remain the same size with less cheese in it now?
