Sigur Ros started on time. I caught New Order's first two tracks and walked up to the Outdoor while the lights went out and was still able to get a good spot.

which strangely enough, they still played 13 songs versus the 15-16 on their current tour. Practically a full set.

Oof I didn't even notice how incorrect that was! They stayed away from the quiet songs here is what I remember from the top of my head:
    Kveikur
    Glosili
New track not sure of the name
    Saeglopur
    Varud
    Hoppi
    Brennisteinn
    Pop Song

    I know I'm missing 2 more songs...

Are you sure this was played 2nd? Even on Sigur Ros message board, nothing is mentioned that Glosoli was played...

Did anyone see Danny Devito in front of the barricades watching their set

Famous faces once again flooded Coachella’s VIP area, as the festival remains the place to be seen (and snapped by roaming paparazzi) whenever the carnival comes to town. Spotted today mingling around the grounds: Comedian Aziz Ansari, R&B babe Kelly Rowland (who was tagged talking shop to Solange) and festival fanatic Danny DeVito, who tweeted his excitement for Sigur Ros (who would have thought?). Earl Sweatshirt and his pals were spotted enjoying the Violent Femmes on the VIP lawn just before sundown.

they definitely played glosoli. some of the imagery from the video was employed, even.

such a ridiculously fantastic performance, especially given the shorter set.
took my coachella experience from great to fucking phenomenal.

It's not fair to compare these guys to any other acts. People ask me "What was your favorite show?" "You mean besides Sigur Ros?".

Their music just takes you to another place and then gently sets you back down for the next ride. Don't know how many people were there, don't care. I was completely entranced from start to finish.

When I saw them a couple of weeks, I spent at least half the show quietly in soft tears. This is the only band that's ever made me do that.

Let me put your fears to rest here. They were completely and utterly shattering in their epic grandeur. An absolutely stellar and masterful performance. I didn't think anything could top Radiohead last year....I was wrong.
    Enjoy......

Awesome set. I was super close to the barrier. I feel like the sound isnt the best up that close. Better to be a tiny bit back from the barrier to get the best sound at the Outdoor stage.

They were the best band booked, not a suprise that they delivered. No sound bleed issues from the do lab? That was my only concern because it bled into jonsi pretty bad in 2010.

i like sigur ros, but its just never been this spiritual-best ever experience that everyone i know who likes them claims it to be. the new album is sounding massive though.

i'm a grown ass man who always weeps when i hear the opening bars of hoppipolla.

i really wish they had been webcast. had i gone to coachella, i'd have skipped new order for sigur ros in a second...damn conflicts!
it's not the band i hate, it's their fans.
