Culture Club was "leaked" to me by a really connected source unprompted, and they were really excited and genuine about it, so I'm surprised to not see them there. Maybe there were visa issues, after all.
But the following I had just assumed would be on there:
QOTSA
Deftones
Haim
Sky Ferreira
Warpaint
!!!
Presets (bummer, I wanted a Presets Mojave party)
Diplo (with Major Lazer there, and confirmed by board members, I thought this was a done deal?)
I'm really surprised by the lack of Warpaint
Atoms for Peace
Gessafelstein & Brodinski
Fiona Apple
QotSA
Mainstage edm closer
Warpaint
Chelsea Wolfe
Boris
Cibo Matto (until last week)
More brotastic edm
Mono
Big Boi
Tokimonsta
David Byrne w/ St Vincent (still a thing! NY in June)
6/13-16 NXNE
Alabama Shakes
Did we mistreat fever ray or something
The Coup and Tomahawk
Boots and Patton are always there, they both have new albums and are touring.

All have openings during Coachella season, and the first four fit the bill for the anti-ravechella lineup.
The Walkmen
TEED
Django Django
QOTSA
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club
Toro Y Moi
The Walkmen
the national
sufjan stevens
bombay bicycle club

How cum no jizz kittens this year?!?
Big Boi
Twin Shadow
The Knife
Big boi
KENDRICK (thought for sure he'd be the one guaranteed return act)
Killer mike
Griz
Adventure club
The knocks
NOSAJ THING
Flume
Savoy
the Men
Alabama shakes
QOTSA
Animal Collective
Ellie goulding (for the Robyn/la roux slot)
At least one legit headliner (daft punk, Bowie, rolling stones, Paul Simon, Kanye/jay-z, sound city players, outkast, JT, beyonce)
That being said, they did A LOT right with the lineup this year. The above are just glaring omissions IMO. Really they killed it with rock acts but I could have used some of the above in place of a few of the many British rock acts.

Oh yeah, cat power. Can we trade LA roux for cat power?
6/13-16 NXNE
Alabama Shakes. WTF?
I thought we'd be seeing Metz there... as well as Lucero + BRMC. Oh, The Walkmen too.
I also thought that Tame Impala confirmed that they weren't going to be there? I was happy to see 'em on there though.
