More like 4 months in advanced now... Sir Paul will be there, but not on stage. I think NIN is the third, with AF and Outkast as the "confirmed" other two. I would love if this year had dual headliners each day... if that even makes sense.

    NIN/TOOL
    Bowie/Reflektors
Outkast/?? - i think Eminem or do i even say Daft Punk...?

Bashing is fully welcome. i am just bored getting pissed off watching this stupid Cris Angel show....

if we're predicting before the lineup drops, then more like six-and-a-half weeks

I'll bet anyone on this forum $1,000 that Bowie is not playing the polo fields at any time/any context in 2014. I still think he'll do his own shows.

What gets me is how QOTSA/NIN/Depeche/fun. fit into the headline spots not already unofficially occupied by Arcade/Outkast.

I like how fans have kind of given up hope of Daft Punk or treat it like an afterthought. TOOL need an album, so 2015 at the earliest for them.

Buddy of mine and I had a conversation about NIN headlining and tossed around the idea that GV may skip on Trent and the crew because of how many festivals/shows they've already played in the past year, much like Bjork this year. I dont usually make a "this is who i think will headline" post, but my prediction is:

    Tool
    Arcade Fire
    Outkast

    and I'm stickin' to it!

Still think Foo Fighters deserve a mention in the Third Headliner speculation.

    - They've always been in the upper echelon of the KROQ headliner. Appeals to the bros without offending the sensibilities of everyone else.
    - It'd be their first U.S. show in about two years.
    - Surprisingly, it's been quite a while since the Foos played Coachella. I think the last time was 2002?
    - New album is coming sometime next year, my guess would be sometime sooner than later.
    - Awesome opportunity to get on a bill with Grohl's buddies in Queens. And can you imagine QOTSA > Foo on Friday?

If Arcade Fire and OutKast are the first 2 headliners, i'm totally fine with Foo Fighters as the 3rd. Heck, I wouldn't mind seeing them (unless someone better is on).

Sept 22 2012 was their last "proper" show, 14 months ago.

I think all the FF members played non FF songs together 7-8 months ago at the Sound City gigs.

Nirvana will be inducted in the RRHOF in NYC the same week as Coachella.

    So, again, Bumblebee.

Just so we're on the same page.

    There's this thing.

Foo Fighters are so boring and predictable live I don't know why anyone would seriously want them as a headliner

Name an artist other than GOTYE(SNL then Sunday Coachella) that played both sides of the country on back to back days.

I'm sure that after the Volcano, Cee Lo and Sly Stone that GV have rules about travel immediately before the fest. Acts that do 2-3 festivals in the same weekend are usually closer cities like Lolla/Osheaga or nearby countries in Europe.

Especially on headliners, jet lag and travel can be tough on the voice. Pavement sucked at Sasquatch when they also played Primavera the same weekend.

Foo Fighters rumours also presume that the following be true:
-GV want them after ignoring them for 12 years
    -the album is done
-Grohl would be willing to rehearse for 2 completely different events in March.

Let Lolla have Foo after the new albume comes out and book them for 2015 if the new album is great and they're showing something interesting live.

The poster's out in 6-8 weeks, they won't be there in 2014.

If they play a shit ton of new material at those mexico shows in a couple weeks, then they could headline.

Are you blind? Are you not reading the posts on the page? Nobody is saying they desperately WANT Foo Fighters, people are saying they would be fine with Foo Fighters being the 3rd headliner.

Take it easy. Your misinterpretation is laughable. Bottom line is no one should be considering Foo Fighters as a headliner no matter what spot.
