Quest didn't even headline Rock The Bells.

I guess you're right. Although when seeing the two groups (Wu & Tribe) on all time lists they seem to rank similarly almost always in the top 5. I think the only edge tribe would have over Wu would be the rarity and exclusivity of a Coachella performance.

I've seen Wu Tang countless times and their only memorable and strong performance for me was at Rock The Bells 2004 which happened to be ODB's last show. Tribe on the other hand I've only been able to see once and that was back in 2006. That was one of the best hip hop performances I've ever witnessed and I've see a lot of hip hop acts.

I agree that Quest would be a bigger get than Wu Tang from a rarity standpoint, but I don't see them higher than maybe 3rd or 4th on a day. I also imagine that they would not draw as big of a crowd as J5 or Wu Tang did (both crowds were outrageously big). Also, did you see Wu Tang at Coachella this year? I was blown away by how good they sounded, but my expectations were admittedly low.

One hip-hop reunion I do think would be a 2nd on their day is The Fugees, if that ever happened. Outkast would headline. I think that's about it as far as large scale hip-hop reunions go.

I did not attend this year unfortunately but I did catch most of the set on YouTube. It wasn't bad at all but not their greatest. Solid performance. Tribe did headline RTB but I think I have the year wrong. It was 2008 I believe. I remember Nas destroying the main stage and Tribe finishing of the night.

Can't believe I missed J5 this year. Boo

    It'd be awesome to see:

    Friday headliner: Arcade Fire
(main stage before headliner): My Bloody Valentine or No Doubt

    Saturday headliner: Daft Punk
(main stage before headliner): Queens of the Stone Age

    Sunday headliner: David Bowie
(main stage before headliner): Outkast (hopefully getting together)

Preposterous. Most people over 18-20 have a reasonable idea of who David Bowie is, if only for Labyrinth.

Outkast isn't getting back together anytime soon. They've made that very very clear.

I'm sorry I know they headlined in 2012, but the Black Keys are working on a new album, they are probably the most popular band in rock-n-roll music right now, they will be headlining a bunch of festivals in 2014. Coachella possibly included.

They've played the festival something like 5 times, including back-to-back in '11 and '12. I don't think they'll be back for least two more albums.

A Tribe Called Quest is an American hip hop group, formed in 1985,[1] and is composed of MC/producer Q-Tip, MC Phife Dawg aka Phife Diggy (Malik Taylor), and DJ/producer Ali Shaheed Muhammad. A fourth member, rapper Jarobi White, left the group after their first album in 1991 but rejoined in 2006. Along with De La Soul, the group was a central part of the Native Tongues Posse, and enjoyed the most commercial success out of all the groups to emerge from that collective. Many of their songs, such as "Bonita Applebum", "Can I Kick It?", "I Left My Wallet in El Segundo", "Scenario", "Check the Rhime", "Jazz (We've Got)", "Award Tour" and "Electric Relaxation" are regarded as classics by the hip hop community.

First post. Time to be shredded--

Likelihood of NIN and Daft Punk headlining are huge. Third(or more) headliner is tough. Will Mumford get picked, or will headlining elsewhere make gv search elsewhere? Is it too soon for Arcade Fire to headline again? Ditto for Kanye, or will The Throne have a new album out by then too? Lady Gaga would be a rather big deal for many peeps. But, and not because I would really like it much, I think it's the Rolling Stones.

    NIN
    Daft Punk
    Rolling Stones

I don't think Outkast gets back together, however Big Boi plays solo at around 9th billing on his day (behind R Kelly or Macklemore & Ryan Lewis). The big hip-hop reunion will probably be Black Star, though Quest would be awesome too. And the dream once-in-a-lifetime headliner is "Pink Floyd" (at least Gilmour and Waters), which would be infinitely better than the Stones.
