Yeah I def think he'll be bringing this to Coach, when I saw him in LA he had something very comparable.

The thing about Prydz that sets him above the rest, imo, is that I still love the cheesier House tracks that he produces. I love "Everyday," and some of his other cheesier stuff, but I can't fucking stand cheese House from other producers. Probably because Prydz is able to do it tastefully.

And he still produces dark, progressive House under Pryda and Cirez D (which is what I prefer) so we get the best of both worlds. And when you see him live he combines all styles flawlessly.

I want to like this more, knowing this is probably where the closing Sunday party is going to be, but so far I am feeling like I'll have to seriously get re-acquainted with MDMA to make it work. I'll keep trying...

The way he brings the track back in this clip is incredibly beautiful and powerful.

I agree. I watched this set at Creamfields and would be happy to see a similar set up at Coachella - although I reckon it maybe a bit more expansive...

I remember something similar to this from ID Fest in Phx. His set was so well put together I can't wait to see him throw it down for Coachella!

Prydz is a lot like Deadmau5. Are you going to get cheese? Absolutely. But like Deadmau5, Prydz plays mostly his own well produced songs & remixes and varies styles throughout his set. It's not the monotonous Top 10 Beatport set that every DJ played in the Sahara last year. It all depends how you go into it. If you're expecting some mind bending, forward thinking set obviously you're going to be disappointed. But if you go in knowing he might bring the Brie at times, you'll be shocked by how much fun you have. I went in to the Palladium show with mixed feelings and had an absolute blast.

Look at that playlist from the first 2h of his 4h set on NYE..... WHERE IS THE CHEESE!? fuck your statement.

Or this playlist from the recent Roseland Ballroom set

    http://www.1001tracklists.com/trackl...012-11-24.html

or his headlining ID Festival that got such 'mixed' reviews

    http://www.1001tracklists.com/trackl...012-08-18.html

or the Palladium playlist that "was full of trance and he talked through a bunch of the set"

    http://www.1001tracklists.com/trackl...012-07-14.html

    Fuck you guys.

I'm very surprised Sonicc hasn't showed up to bash Prydz and cream all over his keyboard while talking about how much he loves SHM.

Saw him earlier this year and he played extended tracks, some for about 10 minutes. This was at identity and he did not cater to the crowd much, if at all, which was mostly filled with bros. Great two hour set!

Keep in mind that he has produced stuff like this:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rT9LPv_xcOg

And some heavy techno shit under Cirez D as well. Not to mention Pryda songs like Reeperbahn and Genesis. He does have some cheese in his catalogue, but there are thinking songs too.

#1 fear of mine. But hoping it will be him against RHCP. That will be perfect.

Pretty sure he was considered a member long before they blew up, when the three SHM guys were producing more progressive stuff and less big room house. The he parted ways with them.

Edit: Here's a track he remixed for Steve Angello, still one of my favorites

Eric and Steve produced together as the A&P Project. When the four of them were producing and living near each other and were good friends people started calling them the Swedish House Mafia, but Eric was never part of it being used as a brand or an image for the group. That was just the three amigos further down the line.

I guess he was never an official member, but people considered him part of it for awhile. Read: http://www.inthemix.com.au/news/intl...afia_defection

    Don't expect EPIC.

That set up is so huge I don't think there is any chance of him bringning it.

If you can fit the pyramid in the sahara, the EDC cube in the sahara I bet it can fit. The panels are just shy of 100ft but those panels would just lay over the side screens, don't need them and dont want them. Then for the intelligent lighting the Sahara could easily handle all of the rest of the rig.
