Completely agree. So glad to get an Ian Svenonius project this year.
Aside from Ulysses (won't happen), the Ian Svenonius project.
Oh can I hear you say "yeah" ?!
Coachella veterano from '99 til infinity.
lucky enough to see chaain and the gang, this will be really awesome.
I really like Chain and The Gang .I wish i knew who they were when they played the Smell last march
I am really intrigued by the 7 or so songs I have listened to from these guys. Going to start going through their discography. Anybody have a recommendation for which album I should start with?
Great booking, here's hoping they don't clash with New Order. How were they at ATP? I saw Chain and the Gang open for The Rapture and wasn't very impressed, but Ian did bring the energy.
^^^^ thanks and also to TG for starting this thread. Had never heard of these guys and now theyre becoming a must see.
Coachella 07 (the introduction), 08 (the bands), 09 (the documentary), 10 (the people i came with), 11 (the relationship test... we passed), 12 (whatever the weather, Dirty Epic forever), 13 (the year of the troll)

Yes please, I hope they are an alternative to Phoenix late at night. I'll fucking be there.
I saw them back in the 90's and they were AMAZING! I cant wait to see them again.
Wow, this is great. Also - does NOT sound like it was recorded in the 90's.

This show was one of the best of the festival
^ Agreed; it was also criminally under-attended, but that sadly was to be expected. I saw so many musicians here too: all of Thee Oh Sees, Ty Segal, Brad Wilk from RATM, members of Savages, and probably more I'm forgetting. Finally, congrats to TallGuyCM for serving as Ian's human standing post while he crowdsurfed near the end of their set.

That's awesome! I was already tripping pretty hard by this time so I didn't recognize a single famous person but tallguy chris holding up Svenonius was such a hilarious and awesome surprise. Ha! I look in and I'm like who is this monster of a man- oh it's just Chris.
