funny, they're billed as Bad Lieutenant, and only 40% of their set is Bad Lieutenant material.

I love 80s music, not a huge fan of Indie rock. Prog my favorite by far actually. Just an observation from someone who didn't listen to New Order When conflict comes on that line Sat they'll be just above theXX on my list of who I'd see

You will have millions of opportunities to see most of the bands that are playing on Saturday in the future.

New Order is not one of those bands.

Postal Service and Violent Femmes could be festival only rarities in the foreseeable future.

didn't bernard have vocal issues in 2005? i think that contributed to the lackluster set. the mix from "can't get you outta my head" into "blue monday" was the best part of the set.

Absolutely 100% agree. This is by far my all time favorite song from them. I will cry if they don't play it.

Also I hope there isn't a hot chip conflict... I am not sure if you guy shave seen it but there is a video on youtube of hot chip playing no fit state where they have a new order tribute of temptation. I would put it up but can't get to youtube at work.

As disappointed as I am that Hooky is not going to be with the band, New Order is still at the top of my "must see" list. I am looking at this as a once in a lifetime opportunity.

"Touched By The Hand Of God" - total long shot, but could die contentedly if they played this.

I really lamented missing that show. Thanks to Coachella I get a do-over. I swear this line up is like a classic Brit-pop dream come true.

I agree that any set without Love Vigilantes and Temptation would be lacking, they wouldnt do that to us, those are singalong gems.
A lot of you are saying their set in 2005 sucked, and maybe I was just high, but my friend turned to me real Raoul Duke and said, "We've just wandered into a fucking TIME CAPSULE!" and we time traveled back to the 80s and everyone looked like a Fast Times at Ridgemont High wet dream come true and it was pure bliss.
Looking for more of the same in April!

Out of control would be grand, but not really theirs.

Someone like you would make it for me tho.

I never joke about New Order and/or Tard (aka Grumpy Cat). NEVER. Also, don't you guys remember SebastiAn's picture from last year being Sebastian Bach?

They were pretty fantastic at the Greek. Crowd was full of hipsters and people who looked like my parents. They have to be playing before Phoenix on the main, right?

I hope they play on the Outdoor. It would be borderline criminal to have someone on stage right tapping on their watch during "True Faith", telling the band to wrap it up so the Postal Service has more time to play deep cuts off of their one album.
