The first time I saw him - opening for Youth Lagoon - he killed it. So entertaining. A few months later he headlined at the same venue and didn't have it at all. Maybe just an off night though. Coachella seems like the perfect setting for this band.

This will be one of the most talked about sets after Coachella. He is fucking incredible, I saw him three times last year and HOLY SHIT! The quality of the music. A great 8-9 piece band, that all slay. Oh did I mention how awesome J. Tilman's stage banter is? this dude has an awesome personality on stage.

I ask how often he gets high. "I smoke weed every day," he replies as a plate of sashimi arrives. "I do mushrooms maybe six times a year. They're more a tool than a recreation. i was at the show at maxwell's talked about in the article. i've seen him twice with the full band, and they were great, but he was even better and more entertaining solo. the new songs sound really great as well. highly suggest seeing him live. also, that article is horribly written.
