    Default Father John Misty

If you like the album and you haven't seen them perform live, I definitely suggest that you watch their set! It is fun and hilarious and just an overall delight. Josh Tillman is a wonderfully charismatic entertainer.

    They play Sunday.

I dunno...his shirt says "Freedom Now! Legalize LSD" in one of the videos if that means anything. Why do you ask?

The first time I saw him - opening for Youth Lagoon - he killed it. So entertaining. A few months later he headlined at the same venue and didn't have it at all. Maybe just an off night though. Coachella seems like the perfect setting for this band.

Agreed. Sometimes I need to be shown the light by a good live performance. I've listened to it a ton since seeing him last month.

This will be one of the most talked about sets after Coachella. He is fucking incredible, I saw him three times last year and HOLY SHIT! The quality of the music. A great 8-9 piece band, that all slay. Oh did I mention how awesome J. Tilman's stage banter is? this dude has an awesome personality on stage.

I love this dude. Here's a somewhat interesting article/interview about him posted today by Spin

I ask how often he gets high. "I smoke weed every day," he replies as a plate of sashimi arrives. "I do mushrooms maybe six times a year. They're more a tool than a recreation. And in the last year, I've definitely had some impulse to indulge in amphetamines like cocaine or Adderall. A lot of that has to do with pushing too hard. When you're touring as much as I'm touring, you're basically living in a state of self-destruction. So within the last year, it's been more. But when I say more — I'm so fucking innocent. I'm not waking up and doing cocaine."

I implore you, see him live. He's good on record, but live he's just a total blast. His banter is every bit as good as the songs, and he is such a performer.

He's playing in a couple of weeks at the Glass House with White Fence opening. I'm definitely going now with all the positive reviews i've heard of his shows.

i was at the show at maxwell's talked about in the article. i've seen him twice with the full band, and they were great, but he was even better and more entertaining solo. the new songs sound really great as well. highly suggest seeing him live. also, that article is horribly written.
