No it's like Trent's version of Puscifer. May May has said Puscifer is what Tapeworm woulda/coulda been, pretty big bummer that all fell through. T-Rez co-wrote the Puscifer track "Potions."

the first HTDA stuff i heard was very APC ish. bringing back that whole alternative-dark-goth-chic thing. didnt immeadiately turn me on at all, but i do see what you mean about the puscifer analogy. but hey, we get maynard in some capacity. getting trent without hit vocals doesnt really count i dont think.
