What if we all start chanting "We want John" before the set, and it won't be rude to Josh, because John and Josh used to play together anyway so they would just have both of them on guitar? Josh is like Johns padawan. John will heed our call, and it will be coachella that brought all of them back together, and then they will be awesome. I have no problem starting the chant, just need some followers. Thanks

But I'd totally join in that chant. Josh and John played together a lot and in fact on John's solo stuff, Josh helps out on a few tracks. However John's a better musician all around. He's sick on the guitar, he's actually in rolling stone's top 100 if that matters, but also he's got great vocals, and could honestly carry RHCP vocally if he had ever chose. Plus have you ever seen him do Venice Queen live? Amazing.

If you were to watch the Red Hot Shitty Peppers I would probably guess you're better off the new younger guitarist. More energy from what I heard from online reviews. I have seen the Chilies twice with John when they toured Californication, one show was awful and the other was great. The best part of the shows were the improv jams between John and Flea, the new guitarist does the same with Flea. Personally I think if John is on hiatus there is probably a good reason and he should stay that way. I also don't give a shit about any of this because I won't be watching the RHCP at Coachella.

Saw them with Josh in NJ last year in May I believe? and also at Bonnaroo, they were great, but I have a feeling John would melt my face off, just asking for a little meltage. But thats also what would be so amazing if they both played together, that energy would be unbeatable in comparison to just either one of them.

Then the chant should be "We want Dave!" x 3 not just Dave over and over again. How will he know what the fans want of him otherwise? Like it'll just be a bunch of people yelling his name. And then he'd have to ask what they want. And they'd have to clarify.
