2008 has been the best for me out of 2008/2009/2010/2011/2012w1/2012w2

I've enjoyed them all though.

2008 was peak Sahara, 2012 has been the worst the Sahara has had to offer.

I hated when they had those bands with the lights. Also the dj's with the untz untz sucked.. every year.

I have exact same coachella's under my belt except only 2012 w1 and totally agree that 2008 was my favorite...which ironically, was also probably the worst line-up on paper of the last five. But Prince, Waters, My Morning Jacket, The National, Sharon Jones, Akron/Family and many others all killed.

2010 was the least enjoyable because of the crowds, but of the five I've attended, I actually thought last year's was the least impressive musically...as one reviewer described last year...a lot of excellent performers, in service of an endless array of mediocre songs.

that's what people said..but i didn't notice any difference..i was able to walk through the crowd to very front of the mainstage way easier in 2010 than last year though, and at every stage really

Agree wholeheartedly. A lot of the 2011 undercard bands have become my favorite bands of all time.

Best: 2008 was absolutely incredible for me. Line-Up, Reasonable Crowds, The Art(I spent a good amount of time in the Sonic Forest), Just about everything was All Star that year. I can't really say my worst. I'd need a better adjective as I've never been to a Coachella that could be associated with the term "Worst".

1. Not being able to back to campsite that year - WHAT? You could go back to your campsite always.
2. Preferring tent camping to car camping - WHAT? It's the same but you don't have to carry all your shit from parking lot to camping lot

I've been going since 2009, and that has still been my favorite year....

This was also BY FAR my favorite year of the do-lab, as far as the design of the installation.

But last year weekend 1 was pretty awsome, although i too avoided the sahara like the plague.

I agree with you, i liked the no ins and outs, and i liked that only the people camping were allowed in the campgrounds. Tent only camping is by far the best (even though i car camp now) and the dome.... who can forget the dome....

also after hours only for campers was awesome as well!!! ahhhhh they should just go back to that
