um, that wasn't the middle of the day. that was sunset aka "the magic hour". i saw yyys a week ago at the glasshouse and during one of the slower intros i closed my eyes and could see them on the main, long shadows, golden red sun reflecting off the distant mountains, the heat, the slight breeze...

it's probably the second most coveted time slot of the entire day. it wasn't given to them out of disrespect. it will be nice to see them bumped up the schedule if they play but to imply they were given a bad set time in 09, hell no they were not.

personally i'd rather see 1-5 threads per band like the old days than 10+ "wishlist" type threads with 500+ pages. it's a forum not a chat room. i'm not going to wade through 500 pages just to see "that band was confirmed back on page 267 bruh"

I don't mean to be that guy, but I really hope that last Friday's show (in addition to the Brooklyn show last year) doesn't mean that they've dropped Y Control from their setlists.

hmmm thats odd, cause im watching this video of them playing 2009 and the sky is kinda dark, and i can see the lights on the stage, and the sun just happens to not be in the sky because it already set behind the fucking mountains. but i guess you're right

They played Bonnaroo earlier in the day than at Coachella in '09 and it was a much better set by all accounts. Night time sets are pretty much always better, but I think they just hadn't gotten into their groove of touring at that point.

They were the "afternoon headliner"(2nd biggest act of the day) at Bumbershoot in 2009 and were a bit better than Coachella 2009. I thinnk it rained a tiny bit during their set.
