I posted this in the Vegas thread but that doesn't get much use. This years lineup looks pretty good so far and they are still going to add another handful of shows.

Cool that they got Bill Stevenson playing with Flag, but dammit, it's not Black Flag without Ginn. And honestly, they're going to ignore a vast majority of Black Flag's music, including some of the best work they did (the My War/In My Head/Slip It In tracks). I'm super glad that they're doing stuff again because that music should not be ignored, I just wish there was a way to get the real band together again.
Best would be the 1982 lineup playing again, with Rollins, Dez Cadena and Greg Ginn on guitars, Dukowski on bass and Chuck Biscuits on drums. They never released anything, but the demos from that period confirm that was the best Black Flag that ever existed.
Greg is doing this instead....
Black Flag guitarist Greg Ginn and professional skateboarder Mike Vallely have formed a new band called Good For You. Their debut album, Life is Too Short to Not Hold a Grudge, will be released on February 26th via SST Records. Listen to one of the tracks, "Hanging Around," here: https://soundcloud.com/goodforyou-1/hanging-around
I am not going pay $105+boarding+travel to see 13 minutes of black flag musix performed live.I could careless about the other bands and i really do not like bowling.......fuck bowling
I will check them out tonight .Thanks!
Hmmmm this is super tempting actually. Great line up overall. I wonder if all the other bands to fill up the whole three days will be total garbage.

D.R.I. were a great listen I would LOVE to hear Five Year Plan live.
Yep, the Damned were one of my favorite bands for a while. Subhumans should really be listened to as well.

Still not black flag
SUbhumans are awesome live! I never really listened to them much but my gf wanted to see them. Went to thee parkside in sf to check them out and holy crap they were sooo much fun.
I hate bowling.
This looks pretty good to me, I was reading about the bowling, seems like too much hassle, I would just go for the music.
Bowling is fucking fantastic highlighted with punk music is awesome. If it was in my city I would do this in a second.
Subhumans were a ton of fun when I saw them as a teenager. I haven't listened to them in many many years and even then not very extensively but they're definitely better than most of the bands you see filling up Hot Topic issued leather jackets.
Subhumans are certainly more deserving than the dreck that is The Casualties.

Added some bands I will definatley be there this year, itll be my first time in vega... still holding out hope bronx get added
If any boardies go let me know would love to chill with some like minded punkers in vegas... Pretty sure me and the lady are staying at the flamingo!
You'll want to stay downtown in old Vegas. That's where the shows will be at. The Flamingo will be a $25 each way taxi ride. Much easier to stumble your way back to the room. I suggest Golden Nugget if you want comfort or if you want to be where all the action is, the Gold Spike. At the Spike they'll have pool parties with bands playing. I've not yet gone to one of the pool parties but I've heard they're fun.
^ Thanks, I might look into the hotel bmack is talking about. Really can not go wrong with 50 cent coors.
That is the Gold Coast BTW.
Personally that isn't so great for Punk Rock. The money you save on cheap Coors will be spent on $20-30 cab rides. You can bus it, but that is about a hour. Stay downtown and go to the HT (huntridge tavern) to get drunk, Shots are $2. Alternatively sit at a machine at the Golden Gate or Spike, and get loaded on $1 beers and bloody marys. The servers at the smaller casino's downtown come round faster than Strip.
p.s. Even if you are driving, you are going to have probs finding parking DT during Punk Rock. Most of the casino's lots are restricted to hotel guests or just full on weekends. Street parking is restricted too.
