Yep, 2006 Daft Punk and 2008 Love and Rockets are the only exceptions going back to 2004 that I can find where the first 2 names on the poster did not play consecutively on the mainstage. And both exceptions have caveats; Daft Punk was specifically billed in the Dance Tent, and 2008 ultimately wound up with a jumbled poster that disguised the true day-by-day billing.
There's been a few more common instances where the third listed act played elsewhere - Kraftwerk 2004, Bright Eyes 2005, Air 2007, Thom Yorke 2010. So I can see The Replacements being somewhere other than the mainstage more than I can see that happening to The Knife.

I didn't realize Love & Rockets was billed second in '08 when the split 3 day line up was released. I thought MMJ were. Anyways, so Daft Punk and Love & Rockets have been the only exceptions where the second billed act did not play the mainstage. Based on this information, it would be silly to bet that The Knife will be anywhere but the mainstage.

As microcuts noted, however, the same cannot be said for The Replacements. I do think The Replacements will be mainstage, however I would not be surprised to see them wind up on the Outdoor.

I am going to kick all of you in the shin if we wind up with anything besides Matts>Knife>Outkast on the main. The crowd will most likely just sit or walk away.

I am not going to kick you all in the shins. I'm sorry, babies. I was angry, and well, your collective suggestions all just sucked cat farts.

I just got back from the Chicago show, and enjoyed it. I'm glad I knew the deal going into the show. The dancing was kinda hokey at times, but I found it to be fun. Honestly, I barely paid attention to a lot of the dancing because those lights were intense. They managed to make a more captivating light show with modern concert lighting than most djs can with tons of LED walls. Those prism mirrors were incredible. It was a giant neon rainbow clusterfuck that I didn't get, but thoroughly enjoyed. Kinda like Springbreakers

Did anyone get a look at the merch this tour? They were sold out of everything except hoodies, totes, and vinyl by the time they got to Chicago.

Eight tracks by The Knife that were reinterpreted for a recent US tour will see release as a mini-album in June.

Shaken-Up Versions contains new edits of some of The Knife's best-known tracks—"We Share Our Mother's Health" and "Silent Shout" among them—that were performed by the band on the North American leg of their Shaking The Habitual album tour. The digital version of Shaken-Up Versions will arrive via Mute Records, Rabid and Brille on June 16th, with CD and vinyl to follow later in the summer.

    Tracklist
    01. We Share Our Mother's Health (Shaken-Up Version)
    02. Got 2 Let U (Shaken-Up Version)
    03. Bird (Shaken-Up Version)
    04. Without You My Life Would Be Boring (Shaken-Up Version)
    05. Pass This On (Shaken-Up Version
    06. Ready To Lose (Shaken-Up Version)
    07. Stay Out Here (Shaken-Up Version)
    08. Silent Shout (Shaken-Up Version)

Rabid/Brille/Mute Records will release Shaken-Up Versions on June 16th, 2014.

I am super stoked for the release. The version of "Silent Shout" they played on this tour was incredible and I cannot wait to listen to it again and again.

“We are doing our last tour!

In the autumn we will round up the Shaking The Habitual Show Tour with a number of European dates. After the touring last year we reworked the show during the winter. The performers, previously known as dancers, learnt how to sing and play instruments, the stage got three levels, Shannon Funchess joined us and the show became more fun and shiny. We performed it in the US in the spring and now we would love you to join us in our dance for some last shaking moves.

    A handfull elf pee

    That’s my soul

    Spray it allover

    Fill the bowl

    Legs astride

    An axe to grind

Generous actions with the speed of light

Without you my life would be boring”

See you on the dance floor…

    /Olof and Karin, The Knife”
