Things to do in LA after Weekend 1...

Hi Guys,

A friend and I will be flying over from London for Weekend 1 and are planning on spending 3 days in the LA area before heading to Vegas.

Any recommendations on sites to see, restaurants to eat at, clubs to party at? Would like to see the real side of town if possible, not interested in Beverly Hills/Hollywood touristy things.

The Getty Museum is a must, worth the effort it takes to get there.

A lot of coachella artists will be playing at goldenvouce venues around LA so if there's any acts you miss you can check out some of these shows. And go to Disneyland, Laker or Clipper game, go see a play in Hollywood etc.

Library Alehouse in Santa Monica for numerous beverages.

Also, Same for swimming. Santa Monica is good.

you can do the same we do every year: start the day at Joans on third, then beach, then Urth caffe, then Griffith, later Lakers / Clippers or Kings, or a club show

Venice Beach for sure. Eat at one of the restaurants on the Hollywood strip, it may be pricy, but awesome food cuz crappy food doesn't last on the strip. The real side of LA is actually pretty ugly. Check out all the local venues to see what else may be playing...Palladium, etc..may be some cool up and comers..
If you run out of stuff, hit up Magic Mountain!

Are Laker/Clipers game tickets available on the night or best to pre-book?

Hotel suggestions please!!!! -We still haven't sorted accommodation out and time is ticking!

Come to Huntington Beach, 40 minutes south of LA. Its the surfing capital of the United States and you'll get a great beach day in april
