I probably will go to Mr. Lif/The Coup on Dec 2.

I probably will miss Calexico/Annuals on Dec 5 for going to the Suns/Kings game with my friend that is in town. But I will go to Matt & Kim on Dec 6.

Possibly Emily Haines @ El Rey on January 23rd. I just saw her at the Viper Room, where she played everything from her album, and tickets were less than half of what they are for this show, so I shouldn't. But it's Emily Haines, so how can I not see her?

Maybe Polysics on January 31st.

abrahan I def recommend seeing that show. It was great here in the Phoenix.

I just saw Matt & Kim at the Trunk Space. They played 9 songs in about 30 minutes. They are not a finesse band; they are energetic and fun and we were all jumping and dancing. They were having lots of fun.

They are a keyboard and drums duo but otherwise they are very, very different from Mates of State. No soft pretty slow songs, no crazy chopped rhythms... just relentless happy poppy punk.

Also they listened to Night Ripper by Girl Talk as warm up/bumper music.

I am not going to go to the Strummer tribute on the 21st after all. I'm going to be out of town.

edit, while I'm at it, I'm also not going to be at the Panic at the Disco show tonight, either. Also, I won't be at Dierks Bentley, whoever that is. I rather doubt I'll be at Primus next week, or Brian Setzer, or Papa Roach for that matter. I might like to see Ozomatli next week, except I'll just be getting back into town and will probably be too wiped to function.
