MUSE only has one stage. The "elevators" got the night off at the festival. I saw the exact same staging in Vancouver as I did at 2 weeks later at Coachella 2010.

Festivals use the same basic show and acts have to reconfigure their shows sometimes. Springsteen/U2 have to rethink their walkways, and teleprompters/mic stands can't be built into the stage.

I'm sure Jay-z went to great lengths to get that small trap door in 2010.

this is my point. they wouldn't need to transport a huge stage setup. but they do have multiple setups. there's also the honeycomb, the pyramid and the cave along with the elevators.

Many times old custom staging is sold for scrap metal. Some small stuff gets kept in storage and some stuff gets used on other tours.

My point is that even a small light rig must leave the east coast at 1-2am and needs to be on the polo ground for set up by 7-9am. Flying time alone in 5 hours.
