The keyboard was the least of his problems.

Well if he couldn't hear his keyboards, it makes sense why he sang it so strangely. The whole video screen thing was stupid too. Very dissapointing performance.

I can't imagine anyone going out and grabbing his album because of that performance.

When he did the original verison of Bad Religion. His VMA performance wasn't good because he chose to change up in the instrumental. The production of his songs are a big reason why he his album was good.

but yeah, last night's performance was pretty bad. I wish he'd done Bad Religion or Pyramids.

Unfortunately Frank was too classy to work a Chris Brown jab into his acceptance speech.
Yes he was so bothered he was seen clapping for him. Just cause the industry has this hard on for Frank Ocean and gave him a standing ovation doesn't mean Chris has to. I'm pretty sure he didn't stand up for Black Keys. Is he mad at them too? Like I said yall so sensitive.

If you really think Chris Brown wasn't pissed that Frank won and purposely sat down while everyone else in the room stood then you're naive. It's common knowledge that they both dislike each other. I found it funny. I always find it funny when Chris has a bad day. But yeah I'm so sensitive. lol.

Frank was HORRIBLE at Coachella Weekend 1...his show at the Wiltern was pretty damn awesome, aside from his poor choice in setlist imo...especially playing Forrest Gump TWICE

I think people like the idea of Jack White and what he symbolizes more than they actually like Jack White and his music at this point.

I would have agreed with this pre-Blunderbuss. But then he made a great album again.

I liked Blunderbuss more than anything since Get Behind Me Satan. But the self-styled DIY zaniness, the guitar heroics, the very calculated "non-commerical" mysteriousness, and the legacy of the White Stripes are all a big part of his appeal to the segment of music listeners that will still pay for things. He's the last of the anti-hero rock stars, and a lot of people are more invested in that than they are in the music -- good, bad, or indifferent.

Huh. You find Blunderbuss to be a great album? I thought it was ok, but I wasnt very impressed. He absolutely blew me away with his show in Vancouver though. The Blunderbuss material sounded far better live and his full band renditions of all of his previous bands songs were killer.

I think Ty Segall qualifies as well. As for Blunderbuss... It was alright. Nothing mind blowing.

Woooooooooooooh. Woh woh woh. I am just going to stop you right here. Are you serious? To me, Get Behind Me Satan is the worst thing Jack White has ever released. I thought Icky Thump was an excellent return to form and both Consolers of The Lonely and Sea of Cowards were solid albums that I can return to at any time. To me, Blunderbuss was a major step down from the last record of each of his respective bands

    Yeaaaaaa....

The Dead Weather and The Raconteurs are both mediocre to decent acts. Neither have done anything that I can sing without listening to the song, or have ever had one of their songs stuck in my head. The Jack White album is just full of his rock earworms. I listened to it a ton, and I love it.

I did hear a track from Icky Thump the other day that made me want to revisit the album. I never really cared as much since they cancelled the tour and I didn't get the same sort of connection with the songs.
