    Soul/R&B.

I'd give Fun. the record of the year out of that list. Far from the best Frank Ocean song.

Album Of The Year, wtf... They went very young and ''hip'' this year. No old act in there.

    Jack White - Blunderbuss
    Fun - Some Nights
The Black Keys - El Camino
    Frank Ocean - Channel Orange
    Mumford And Sons - Babel

Mumford ends up being the safest choice, and they have sold the most records from the rest. But the others have been out for a while, so I wonder if the late release ( kind of like oscar movies coming out in december) will come into play.

This is a thing to not give a fuck about so let's all not give a fuck about it and then it will not be given the fuck about. Besides, it's year end list season, which is the best pointless music ranking thing of the year (sincerely).

Kendrick's album missed the album by a few months. I bet it'll be nominated next year.

Yes. Remember when Jethro Tull won best hard rock/metal artist over Metallica?

I bet Black Keys sweep house.

Gotta say, as much as people bitch about the Grammys, Frank Ocean, The Black Keys and Fun. deserve the nods this year. They released great, popular albums that push their respective genres forward (maybe not for the Black Keys, but what a great album.)

I want to know how they stuck Robert Glasper under r & b and how Mumford & Sons is classifed as ''Americana' when they are british.

How is it awful. There isnt a 60 something year old artist nominated in the top tier categories for once. They didnt have to give somebody late recognition because they didnt do it 30 years ago.

First, that first half seems like a rip on gays rather than a rip on gaypalmsprings.

second, Mumford don't really belong under Americana, I'd agree, but they do tend to approach "folk" music from a more american than british viewpoint. There's very little Fairport Convention or Nick Drake in their sound.

I think Milkshake's quite right, they've definitely (and purposefully, I'd imagine) skewed younger this year. As per usual, the Alternative Album category is the only one of any interest.

m83 or bjork should obviously get it (for alternative album).
But m83's was a better album, but Bjork is long overdue for a Grammy win.

As long as one of those win...

I don't care if this is their, and awards shows in general, approach, that's a shitty way to think. Bjork didn't earn any awards with her newest one.

Be better than the Grammy committee.
