Friday or Saturday night after OSL it is then.

It was their Denmark location I was looking at.

Wait, which is it? I know they had a soft opening a couple weeks ago, but I didn't think they'd have more hours between now and the grand opening.

Aren't they headlining? I've never been to the Mighty... what goes on after?

They're open now, but only from 5 pm onwards -- that's how most soft openings work, it doesn't mean that it's closed til the grand opening. They'll have extended hours starting on Aug. 9, the grand opening.

Yes, Metro Area is headlining. Headliners at Mighty tend to go on in the 12 - 2 (ish) slot, not sure how long their live sets have been. One of the supporting DJs will be on after, maybe even Christina Chatfield who is also playing live and who is incredible, highly encourage sticking around for her set if she does follow Metro Area.

    4/17: The Afghan Whigs @ Slim's
    4/17: Minilogue @ Mighty
4/21: The Men @ Rickshaw Stop

5/2-5/4: Austin Psych Fest @ Carson Creek Ranch

For the record, it's not exactly guest apperance if Cut Chemist and Nu Mark are the DJs for the Group. They are going to be there.

You're right. Cut Chemist left for awhile, but I guess it wouldn't be true J5 without him.

So they cracked the code and already have the ACL schedule which is in October. One of you computer savvy people get to work and find the OSL schedule.

Apologies if this was discussed (don't think it has been), but did anyone realize the singer in Rhye is a male?! That explains the silhouette shows.

Yes. Anyone who has read anything on the internet regarding Rhye is aware that the singer is male.

Funny thing is I found them through a friend on Spotify, but have cluelessly watched live performances thinking the singer was just a short haired female ala Polica.

To be absolutely fair, in a city that has so many good restaurants/bars that I frequently find it overwhelming, nobody that lives here goes to Fisherman's Wharf for anything, ever. And nobody goes to Grant in Chinatown, although Stockton isn't too bad on the tourist scale.

The Mission, Lower Haight, Hayes Valley, Marina/Cow Hollow, North Beach, Tenderloin/Polk Gulch, SOMA, Embarcadero near AT&T, Nob Hill, Tendernob, all have insane amounts of excellent non-touristy bars and restaurants.

What's wrong with eating in the tourist hotspots? Not like any of the locals are really very local anyway (unless growing up in Fullerton fifty years ago to a rich family who created a wealthy life for you counts as local). Entitlement in this country has really become something else. Most of the locals don't leave their houses to eat anyway. They have delivery, and house cooks.

I've tried so much random food in San Fran, and it was all good. Not to say I had a taste for everything I tried, but "it was all good." Taquerias, asian food, falafels, fishy fish, breakfasts. Be curious, and open to trying new dishes and hotspots on this trip! Don't mind the butches giving you dirty looks between smooches in the bushes. Never mind that old local with a dead head shirt who refuses to talk to anyone inside of Golden Gate Park. It's a gorgeous place, with people much weirder than yourself, likely. Reciprocate The Vibe.

House help is much more affordable in a place where the minimum wage is over two dollars higher than the national average. Despite what you may believe, some of these people also use the internet (every time). One or two of them are probably pretty cool people even.

While we wait for the weekend:

Not saying they don't check at all but I got in without doing this reselling thing along with 4-5 beers in my pack. It was rolled up in my blanket and hoodie in my pack. They kinda felt the bottom of the pack and let me in. I wouldn't recommend if you don't have a blanket going in though.

I think it will be an hour set from what I've been reading and seeing. Do you think 12-1 with 1.5hr for Chatfield and 1.5hr for another supporting DJs then?

I alluded to it earlier but he didn't do a silhouette show this past weekend. I think he had to get rid of that idea if he wanted to do the festival circuit right now for exposure.

In order to fully experience the culture I plan on getting a house cook delivered while I'm there.

I hope so. I'd rather see them than Phoenix or YYY.

I'll be watching whoever opens for NiN regardless since I don't want to make the half mile hike from TP that late in the day.
