I've gotta third that i'd rather watch Taylor Swift than fucking Green Day, but based on some of Nicks posts I guess we could be looking at KANYE as a headliner??? downside is I guess deadmau5 is a contender for who he is talking about as well.

Wiz Khalifa will be doing the Under The Influence Tour again this year...I guess he's a possibility as well, Jack White spot would be my guess.

I also would take Taylor over Green Day, Unless of course It was Dookie/Nimrod in full, but that would never be the case. I love this fest and all but if it's going to be Taylor, Green Day, Sabbath as headliners there has got to be a hell of a under card to get me back this. Actually that's a bullshit statement, I would still go anyways.

You know she would have to go from Chicago to SF and play on the 11th, right. And the Sacramento show is also something.

OSL is like one of the 4 or 5 MAJOR festivals in this country...really doubt a little festival being held on the fairgrounds in Napa is gonna get the one up on them.

really hope they land Kendrick, doubt he'll be at Rock the Bells since he's at Paid Dues. Kendrick before the Twin Peaks headliner would make sense.

    This.

Taylor Swift is the worst person in entertainment.

Did you check out the lineup at Bottlerock? Pretty impressive for a "little" festival.

Yes, and with the exception of The Zac Brown Band all of the big name bands have played OSL, most in the past few years. Going to that festival is the equivalent of buying a Louis Vuitton knockoff in Chinatown. The real deal will blow the recycled version out of the water.

Sure hope your right. I wasn't too impressed with last years headliners though. I enjoyed Stevie Wonder and Neil Young, but they are a little past their prime.

Its not but I bet no artist that plays at Bottle rocket are going to play at OSL. So we can cross Primus, Flaming Lips, etc. off the list.

I'm with you PJ, I hope they get Kendrick as well. One thing this festival is always a little light on is quality hip hop. Could we see the first hip hop headliner this year?

Kendrick would be nice. Who are the possible rap headliners that OSL could get?

    Kanye
    Snoop
    OUTKAST?!?!

Jay-Z maybe? I don't think Snoop is big enough to headline. I could see him as a sub or Twin Peaks closer.

I think they would have been better off having Stevie Wonder's 2-hour set much earlier on Sunday...like in the afternoon.

I know that's not how festivals do it, but that doesn't mean they couldn't/shouldn't consider it...especially for the "older" acts.

Some older festival goers don't want to stick around til 9:15 and then deal with the traffic getting out of the park...especially on Sunday night...and I'm not sure the draw with the older acts is as strong with the younger crowd.

Are you serious? Stevie was the greatest fucking way to end the festival. If the older people, who lets say are 60 tops, can't stay up til 9:50 or so on a Sunday then they shouldn't be going to festivals in the first place.

I don't now why, but I don't see Jay-Z at OSL. Kanye would be a better fit.

I would much rather have a "classic" headliner that is "past their prime" than some top 40 bullshit like Kanye, Jay Z, Green Day, etc. rammed down my ears. Last year was epic and I hope they continue that model.

Exactly why many of them left early...and it wasn't just the older crowd.

So Eric Clapton has a world tour that starts in March, ends in June, and doesn't hit California?

Does the fact that Phoenix and The Postal Service are skipping San Francisco but playing a APE venue in Sacramento make them likely for OSL? I'm not sure of what to make of these bookings.

That's the theory but no one really knows.

Also, The Breeders are doing a Last Splash tour but not hitting Cali. I wonder if that means they will hit Cali later in the year. Don't know if the full album gimmick is something OSL goes for, but I would like to see the Breeders again.

I agree. I think OSL always has some sort of classic headliner. I have a feeling it'll be Bruce Springsteen this year.

but last year had Neil Young AND Foo Fighters, Stevie Wonder AND Metallica...

Kanye is gonna be doing a few festivals to promo his new album, and Lolla/OSL would not surprise me. Big Boi got a GREAT reaction last year, at least where I was, so seeing acts like Wiz & Kendrick, who would be perfect for the OSL crowd, on the lineup would be nice.
