So not only did they increase capacity by 10,000, they also increased the cost of the pass. Wasn't Eager Beaver $165 last year?

edit: didn't see knotted_donuts post before replying.

Except they botched my order which resulted in me getting them sans fees. It was a glorious day.

EDIT: indeed, they were: 2012 ticket announcement
up $30. and special 3 day passes are $215 so the regular passes have to be $250 or more + service fees! yikes!

Hey, let's not complain, this is still probably one of the cheapest 3 day festivals you can get...

    Paul McCartney

Geez price hike and 10k more capacity. They're either going to blow this shit up again proper with a mind blowing lineup or they're gonna make out like bandits with your cash (not mine).

If they keep with the six headliner model, I won't be too upset with an RHCP / Phoenix booking.

    Something like -

    Macca / Biggest EDM name
    NIN / Phoenix
    RHCP / The National

is fine by me for $195!

Also love how OSL gets a decent amount of acts who are all over the festival circuit the next year, so there should be some fresh names on the poster.

Depends on where you stay. If you take BART and Muni to it, you don't have to stay anywhere near SF.

    I'm the troll?

I've gone to OSL for the last four years, and I'm just looking for information on, you konw, the next one.

You're on here whining about how special your first time was and not wanting to ruin your memories of it.

    Get on with it.

Anyone have any thoughts on phish potentially playing outside lands? There's a huge gap between their hollywood bowl show and the shows at dicks in colorado, and outside lands fits right in there.

Other than that...possibly another phish fest? On the polo fields maybe? it's happened before.

I know, but I was just getting a little hopeful. I'll be at nights 1 and 2 of the SF shows and the bowl show, but somethings gotta fit in that monster gap, right?

And your information is that they've raised the price $30 a head and added 10k people to an already overcrowded venue. Tell us how that makes you feel. I'm sure all of you sheep will think its not that big of a deal and its a great bargain and that its really not about the music its all about the experience.

They just played OSL in 2011, so I can't imagine they would be booked again so soon.

Wow, thats a pretty big price jump. With the price jump and the extra people, they really need to have stacked line-up. But every year I've been happy so I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt until they prove me wrong.

To those who have been; was the over-crowding worse than Coachella 2010?

Does anyone know if there's been an option for e-tickets in the past, or is it paper tickets only?

Are there any festivals besides Coachella that do the custom wristband package thing? It's made regular old tickets so much more boring.

To be honest I didn't think the crowding was as horrible as everyone seems to think it was... just a bit of dodging to do
