Well, SF Station seems to agree with a lot of the predicts on here: http://pulse.sfstation.com/2013/03/1...festival-2013/

Youth Lagoon tours through the west coast twice this year with no SF dates so far. They haven't played OSL yet but they did play Treasure Island last year (another APE Fest). All that plus a new record this year makes them pretty likely.

I could see YL making the jump to Outside Lands this year. He's a hell of a lot more popular

Small name but I think the band Daughter will be there. They are doing a US tour in May and skipping San Francisco. I e-mailed their manager and he said they will be back in SF in the summer. He did not specify date or venue. I feel like they will fit perfectly at OSL though.

Daughter would be AMAZING at OL. I can definitely see their name on the bill.

Atoms for Peace doesn't have a bay area show in their tour dates. I think that makes them fairly likely for Outside Lands.

Now seems like an appropriate time to post about this, anyone think Vampire Weekend could show up?

Yeah Outside Lands is in August and they're touring in October. I mean, no. It doesn't seem likely. It'd be cool though.

Anyone want to start putting bets on an announcement this afternoon about Eager Beaver tickets going on sale Friday (3/22)?

I was going to say the same thing. I'm guessing the announcement is going to come at noon cdt. Hopefully the announcement includes an updated site with their own forum.

The chances are decent. They are playing the Squamish festival the same weekend as OSL which is just north of Vancouver. Plus they have a new album coming out and have never played OSL before. I wouldn't put them in the "lock" category but they are pretty likely. Hopefully that goes for Queens of the Stone Age as well.

You did a decent job but too many repeats from last year (Father John Misty, Thee Oh Sees, etc). Also Phoenix will most likely headline one day.

I don't really see Macca on Sunday though. I guess it's possible but with Sunday ending earlier I just don't see them giving it to him.

the same could have been said about Stevie Wonder last year.

True but it was either going to be Stevie or Neil. But Stevie also isn't the same draw as Macca. I left Stevie at around 9 and even with him and Skrillex going on at the same time the buses were still pretty jam packed. Besides Stevie's music isn't for everyone nor is he the "I have to see before he dies" draw like Macca is. Plus Macca's pyrotechnics might not be something they want for a Sunday night. However I have been plenty wrong before so who knows.

He is but DMB have multiple openers and Gary Clark isn't opening for them until September. Plus their Shoreline date Mariachi El Bronx is opening for them and Gary Clark.

Fair point about macca. Sunday is the day the fest winds down but of the three headliners I listed, macca fits the best for Sunday. If we did group associations of past headliners with these potential headliners, who would you pair?
(My choices would be named here)
    Friday
neil young phish and ? (Mumford & sons)

    Saturday
Metallica muse and ? (Black sabbath)

    Sunday
Stevie wonder arcade fire and ? (Macca)

If it paid him enough and depending on where he is going to be why not? I never really believed the rumors of him being there to begin with anyways.
