I missed Warren Haynes in 2011 so I would love for him to be back. I'm a little upset right now that I missed him because looking back at the set times there was no reason why I shouldn't have been able to catch half of his set before Muse started. Oh well.

Highly rumored or somewhat likely:

Paul McCartney - Supposedly playing two Superfly festivals this year with Roo being confirmed as the first one
Phoenix - No Bay area date scheduled even though they will be traveling through the area, and will be playing Canadian fest the weekend prior - Grove Music Festival
Warren Haynes - Playing LA 8/4
Steve Martin - Playing LA 8/7
Preservation Hall Jazz Band - Playing LA 8/7
Hall & Oates - Playing LA 8/8

Not sure if you are up to it IcedKeg but you would be the best person to get this list going since you are the OP.

From Squamish, I'm really thinking this will be the year OSL gets QOTSA. Also, I can see them booking Vampire Weekend, Young the Giant, and hopefully Childish Gambino (all acts who have never played at OSL).

I think OSL is going to try to put out their lineup before Lolla to try to grab some early sales. If they announce Paul McCartney I would expect the buzz to be huge. I know Bonaroo has him too, but not many people want to go to the boonies of Tennessee. San Francisco is a destination city that is also hosting a music fest just like Chicago.

From what I can find, the last four years of Lolla line-ups where announced as follows

2009 line-up announced April 21
2010 line-up announced April 6
2011 line-up announced April 26
2012 line-up announced April 11

So, sometime in April, towards the end of April if there is any pattern to be read into the above past announcement dates.

Also, I hope Hot Chip makes it there this year. They are playing both the Grove and Osheaga fests and I don't think they have played OSL before. I could see them subheadlining Twin Peaks.

Yes to Hot Chip! Been listening to them again alot lately thanks to Coachella excitement. Their show at the Fox last September was such a party, Twin Peaks closer for sure!

Yea, unfortunately there is no venue in SF with a capacity that size. Really large concerts are at Shoreline during months with nice weather, or otherwise one of the bay area sports arenas (HP Pavilion in San Jose, Oakland Arena, etc). It's a bummer. Most of us don't like Shoreline, and it's a hassle to get to from SF (there's no way to get there really without a car).
