Just discovering this absolute fucking timeless gem of an album (The Princess Part Two - one of if not best albums of the year in my opinion, unbelievably good from start to finish) and trusting GV's spot-on track record for snatching up and showcasing up and comers, we can only expect the unadulterated, ultra original, raw talent oozing out of the 'swingtronic' pores of Parov Stelar to pop up on the Polo Fields next year and proceed to blissfully obliterate whatever tent and crowd they happen to grace! Most eagerly anticipated set of any prospective artist this year for me! Seeing them in 3 weeks and will report back ;-)
Check out their latest and greatest album ASAP! If you don't know, now you know, n*&$@!
P.S. I just officially coined the term swingtronic, just saying, more history in the making :-)
P.P.S. - Here's my Top 10 List for 2012 Albums (descending order from greatest)
1,2 Tie.
Parov Stelar - The Princess (Part Two)
Deadmau5 - Album Title Goes Here
3. The Presets - Pacifica
4. Gossip - A Joyful Noise
5. Hot Chip - In Our Heads
6. Yeasayer - Fragrant World
7. Van She - Idea of Happiness
8. Grimes - Visions
9. The XX - Coexist
10. Poolside - Pacific Standard Time
Of Honorabe Mention:
Miike Snow - Happy To You
Metric - Synthetica
Of Honorable EP Mention:
The M Machine - Metropolis Part I
Disclosure - The Face
P.P.P.S. - I fully expect 13/14 of these artists to appear on the 2013 lineup poster :-) Just a music lover's intuition speaking ;-) If these 13 don't make the lineup, GV has dropped the ball as far as I'm concerned.
Who's your guess if you had to pick one of these artists you expect to NOT appear on the poster this year??? I have my answer ;-)
