How would you know Drew, your nerd friends don't know shit bro.
were great at Sasquatch a few years back, would love for them to take the black keys spot
Saw them at a festival in NYC over the summer that was way more processed and watered down than Coachella. Modest Mouse was great and didnt have a hint of distaste for being at a festival.
Maybe its just a Coachella thing.....or maybe its nothing?
the setlists they've been pulling out are much preferable to the shows i saw in 2010. hoping for a lonesome crowded west tour one of these years.
or really any concert that gets me doin' the fuckin' cockroach. they always play it the night after the show i attend.
nope, i've seen them four times and they never play it. in 2010 they added an extra detriot show and played it the second night. :/
i'm also looking for i came as a rat that isn't mashed up with spitting venom
As much as I would love seeing them at Coachella, they are so much better headlining at a venue that they can play 20-23 songs instead of 11-14.
Janelle Monae, Spiritualized, Loco Dice, Cloud Nothings, Paul Kalkbrenner, Blur, El-P, Kurt Vile, Nick Cave, Sigur Ros, Moby, Grizzly Bear, The Shouting Matches, Four Tet, Modest Mouse, Japandroids, Savages, Jessie Ware, Booka Shade.
didnt they cancel a month or so before in 05 or 06? i hope johnny mar joins em for some increased good times(:
Well at least they got #1 & #2 correct in my opinion...
I'm excited about this set--it was a booking that pushed me over the line to buy tickets this year--but I'm worried that all the spacious, artsy noodly-ness of their early albums has been totally replaced by Isaac's bombastic cookie monster shtick, and that their live shows these days would be kind of one-dimensional as a result. I loved Good News but they lost me after that.
Are they decent when they play shows nowadays?
1 Coachella before I got sober, 7 since. I support both versions. If you wanna do the sober version, roll with us:
