For some reason I was entertaining the thought that Tool might headline a night since they're playing Ozzfest in May and have never played Sasquatch. Guess it's Nick Cave ftw!

I wish Sasquatch had single day passes. If they put Sigur Ros, Grimes, Japandroids, and Killer Mike on the same day I would buy a single day pass for that.

"box suite" holders get day passes and they are frequently sold on craigslist. Usually in the $140-170 range unless it's the night of the most desirable headliner.

Walked by when Macklemore played in SF and the place was a shit show of kids getting dropped off by parents and whatnot. Sold out and the kids had a lot of energy waiting outside to get in. Had no clue who he was at the time and was surprised he had a number one song. Gave it a cursory listen and chalked it up to some random high school one hit wonder popularity thing. The demographic was definitely white teens. I assume it will come and go in a few years.

Ok, I am not really a Macklemore fan, but I have to say this video impressed me. The first song especially is pretty fantastic. It is not every day you hear a rapper standing up for gay marriage. You don't have to watch the whole thing, just give the first song he performs here a try.
