This. Have any of you actually listened to any of his other songs? Nothing like Thrift Shop. Check out Same Love, Ten Thousand Hours, Wings, Jimmy Iovine...

Also Violent Femmes were playing fucking fairs in 07-09. I remember seeing them in SD at the race track. So yeah.
Dead Can Dance did tour last year (and are still touring) but they are still a pretty rare get for a festival, no other US festival has them at all.

This was Macklemore at Victoria, BC's Rifflandia Festival last September. Somewhat regret not shooting more video than I did considering Thrift Shop hadn't taken taken off yet. The crowd seemed to enjoy the set.

Not bad, but if someone played this for me (audio only) I would probably assume it's a new Atmosphere track. I like Atmosphere so I'm not saying that's a bad thing, but it's not a very original style he's throwing down.

    I think he has talent.

I don't understand why people in the PNW go nuts over this guy, his album The Heist is pure garbage. The thrift shop song is very catchy, but 99% of its popularity is from the best, which is great.

I guess I just don't get the bit he has going on.

Yeah, two days later i'm still in love with this lineup. I think it's a go. I love that the capacity is in the 30,000 range. The XX, and Vampire Weekend will probaby have that many people on the main stage for their set alone. Also it's the gorge, yet to go, and its a bucket list sorta thing.

I get why you say this, they do sound similar, but understand that is the style of Pacific Northwest Hip Hop. You could say the same thing about Blue Scholars or many other Seattle based Hip Hop artists.

You could, except that I've seen Blue Scholars and I don't remember any of them reminding me of Slug.

you know, I'm already over Sasquatch. I was really excited until the lineup came out. Now I'm thinking the only way I'll go is if I win tickets. Bummer.

Very interesting and informative interview with Adam Zacks, the founder and curator of Sasquatch. Looks like the attendance cap is actually only 27,500.

Some of his stuff is laughably bad.

    Take "Wings" for example.

    Teenagers rule the world.

If you're looking for a ticket, try within a few weeks of the fest and you'll get one good and cheap. The longer you wait, the better the deal. I've heard of people getting weekend passes for less than half face.

When you bought your tickeets they gave you the options. Obviously since its sold out, you could assume they just stopped selling that. UNLESS, theres a link on their website (which you probably didnt check) that takes you there.

Are you fucking kidding me? It's extremely impressive, and goes to show how strong the lineup truly is(with the exception of macklemore and Mumford and sons, although I imagine it sold out becuase of them).

Considering it has taken at least a week to sell out in the past and last year didn't sell out for over a month, this is a pretty big surprise.

Way faster than ever before. The fastest sell out I remember was 2011 and that still took about a week.

Mumford wouldve sold out The Gorge two nights in a row if it was just them headlining. So yeah, its not hard for Sasquatch to have this happen. They dont have Mumford, it wouldve taken longer.
