i should clarify. 7 of the top 8 are correct as far as i know. the whole top 8 could very well be there
maybe the special guests are the remaining members of nirvana
I always try to do 1 or 2 big festivals in addition to Coachella; last year I did EDC and OSL. I have a Glastonbury ticket but considering the cost and PTO I would have to take I am definitely considering my first Bonnaroo. If the actual lineup looks like that (and as always I am skeptical) it could be enough to get me there. McCartney, Bjork, deadmau5, Animal Collective, and a plethora of acts that could alleviate Coachella conflicts is definitely tempting, and I don't think Bonnaroo generally has lineups that suit my taste as much as this would.
Question: The headliners run unopposed at Bonnaroo, right? As in I can sit at my campsite and rest for the late-night sets or I can watch the headliner? Is there NOTHING else going on during the headliners? I ask becuase I have 0 interest in Petty or whatever Jam band is going to close on Sunday. Not that it would stop me from going, just wondering.
So no other acts playing...that's cool though. I might even prefer to take a nap sometime between 10-12 so I'm somewhat less tired come Monday. I would just be semi-disappointed if I didn't care about ANY of the headliners. But if the one I care about is McCartney I would be happy enough.
I'm sort of like some of the Coachella bound folds, it sort of doesn't matter who headlines It the Roo. cr****

Really CR? Wasn't it Wakarusa that got raided years ago? Then they moved it somewhere else from its original location right? Maybe I'm thinking of a different fest but I had some friends that went to a big fest that got raided and I could've sworn it was this one.
Yea you are right. I went that year and got busted. Then they moved it to Mulberry Mountain in the Ozarks and it blew up a bit. I have my tics for this year but it is the first in a few. Now drugs flow pretty free if one is into that. I only do legal stuff in Colorado hehe. cr****

It wasn't so much that they raided the fest but: In order to get there, you almost had to do the Kns Turnpike, at the exits (you at some point had to pay a toll) they checked each car out, had dogs, and had card tables set up to deal with the busted people. Inside the fest, (this was proven) they had night goggles, LEO in the trees with mics, 4 wheel dr all thru the night and the campgrounds harassing people anytime. It sucked. Since I got busted before then, on the turnpike, I was clean, well cept what I picked up, so I just enjoyed the fest so to speak. cr****

At least the festival organizers knew it couldn't be anything goes but the LEO went over the cliff so they moved. Mulberry Mnt is pretty cool. Open fires, camping in the trees if ya want, tunes all night, anyway ..... The Roo. I wish they would announce who is going to be there. cr****

Here's my unsolicited rundown from inforoo on the top few lines (to the best of my knowledge): The Paul McCartney rumor is coming from several unrelated sources and Bjork is from two very unrelated sources. One person is claiming that Petty and WuTang will be there, with Petty taking the Sunday slot. It's only one person but others are vouching for his credibility, we'll see I guess. Finally there's one guy claiming a source at AC told him yes to Mumford and Disco Biscuits and no WSP. He called all three headliners in December last year but everyone is kinda dubious he knows anything.
Oh, also Guns and Roses.

mccartney should just stay at home, so should tom petty aint nobody trying to see those old cats yikes!!
A lot of "old cats" go to the Roo more so than Coachella but then to me Jack White is old school and I would like to see him there. Ya have to make everyone happy. cr****
