Did Redman come out for Wu Tang at Coachella?
McCartney stream was US only
I am not liking the Jim James performance. Bleh!
Edit: I believe it's because I didn't care for his solo album. His guitar playing is top notch, but it's not moving me.
Springsteen & ESB
Dave Matthews Band
The above 6 groups all did at least one public show with an "outsider" filling in a principle musical role of a then current member of the band. Mumford is somehow more of a "band" than any of them? Keep the festival dates and bump the other shows. There must be some really wonky insurance negotiations going on right now behind the scenes.
So Glastonbury is more important than Bonnaroo?
And yeah, I'd say Glastonbury is a bigger deal than Bonnaroo for its legacy.
For British bands Glastonbury is bigger. And we could make an equally impressive list of bands who didn't tour when a member was injured.
Setlist.fm says daft punk played doin it right with animal collective, lol. Actually got me for a second.
Cutting that McCartney set short on the webcast was a tease...their webcast in general kinda blows. Looks awesome to be there though.
So last night i kept hearing "fuck coachella, let's let them no how we do it at Bonnaroo!" Felt like they were talking to my baby! I got kinda pissed. But if you're going to compare I guess you compare to who is the bar. i love me my coachella <3.... Bonnaroo go fuck yourself and take jack johnson with you.
Swans supposed to start shortly.
After an hour and a half of that we get an hour and half of the National, some R. Kelly and Divine Fits.
The social stream is so obnoxious. So many people who just can't deal with A$AP Rocky, much less R Kelly on at the same time.
Also a lack of understanding of Central Time. And that they're only showing 30 minutes of Tom Petty because they want people to come to the festival.
On this section of R Kelly's set he just covered Kanye's "Flashing Lights"
There really aren't enough Backstreet Boys covers at festivals.
p.s. Coachella is like my baby too, like literally I feel like I gave birth to it sometimes, out of my dickhole though! (I don't have a vagina bro, I'm a bro too).
Bonnaroo was fucking awesome.
Groop camping is the shit. No rush for land, we had room for 30 people and extra space on top.
McCartney was ridiculous.
Swans created a thunderstorm above the tent yesterday.
It's a shame David Byrne doesn't get booked for 3 hour shows. He could give Macca a run for his money.
Don't let them do it to you.
Roo was awesome and Bumblebee is still the worst
Did that ahole keep the flag up the whole time?
Gonna be that older guy, times were better when all that was held up in the air were hands and lighters. Glad I was around for the tail end and able to enjoy live music as a communal event where people were tuned in to the experience instead of tuned out by technology.
