Come on now. I know your still coming down from the fest, but this wasn't even half as good as Vegoose. First of all, the entire site is on asphalt. Secondly, there were hardly any costumes. Also, LiB had only two decent stages, whereas Vegoose had 3 or 4 great stages/soundsystems - the Huntridge stage was no louder than my car stereo. LiB entire site was shaded way too early because of all the tall surrounding buildings. Lastly, I don't recall 10 dollar brewskis at Vegoose. It was a dope festival, dont get me wrong, but it's a mini fest. Not even comparable to Coachella, Outsidelands, Lolla or Vegoose - it's more like Street Scene San Diego.

The line-ups aren't really comparable either...

Vegoose was on dead grass and the bleed from the stages sucked.
They had ONE little part with grass between the arts at LIB.
I thought all the stages had really good sound at LIB. Just my opinion though. I didn't have any beefs with the Vegoose sound.
I LOVED the shade. I don't like to stand in the sun all day.
And yes, it's a mini fest. But it's home. And it's all I have!!

Unless one of you fine folks wants to pay for my Coachella tickets this year?

Oh, and Phunkevil, I agree about the lineups. I hope LIB can bring in bigger acts next year.
I love music, and I hate vowels.

I wonder who they're going to get to headline next year. The Killers and Kings of Leon were totally on the lame end.

Vegoose was held outside Sam Boyd Stadium where UNLV plays. About 10 min. drive from downtown. Man i miss that fest, 2007 was unreal lineup!

Definitely going to try to hit this this year now that I'm back in Vegas. The lineup left a lot to be desired but everyone I talked to had an excellent time and raved about the food. Nobu at a festival? I'm in

there was enough on last year's lineup for me to want to go, so I'm optimistic that this year will at least be as good. I'm trying to keep travel to a minimum this year so a vegas weekend is more doable that some of my other wishlists.

Id rather not see outkast there lol. One festival with them headlining was enough. Wouldn't mind seeing arcade fire again though, I was tired as shit by the time they played at coachella.

I am really excited for this. Great festival for your money. Their line up last year was a bit different from the other festivals around the west coast. The headliners i could see being someone New(er), Classic and a Electronic act. Should we start the rumor mill running?

Too bad a jeepfull of monkeys on crack would have scheduled better set times. Remember the qotsa/iggy pop & cypress hill/public enemy conflicts?

There's no conflict here. Only a dolt would pass up the chance to see the Stooges play Funhouse in its entirety.

Nobody from Las Vegas even went to Coachella because all of Coachella's tickets were bought up by rich little wannabes from LA.

The Bridge School Benefit that weekend is probably the more likely destination for Pearl Jam that weekend.

That whole day was so much fun. We got out there early to see Battles open up one of the smaller stages and it was beyond hot. But watching the security guards faces while Battles were playing their fucked up nursery rhyme songs was hilarious. Getting a costume on halfway through the day and raging out to QOTSA and DP was awesome. That day got me to like Halloween again.
