The EDMSnob twitter claims: “Got some really, REALLY exciting news coming out tomorrow. I’ll snapchat a hint before it’s announced but thank you guys so much”

They later deleted a tweet in which they refused to answer whether or not it was the Daft Punk album.

On the official Daft Punk website, people can either access it, and see a yellow background with a pink box (this appears from the HTML to be the original code of the red logo site design, with three lines missing,) or cannot get on at all.

As well as Nile Rodger’s claiming the album is releasing in March, as well as every other Daft studio album releasing then, the announcement is very likely coming in the next 24 hours. From a marketing perspective especially, it makes sense for Virgin Records to want singles out very soon, for the March release. Daft have always released singles prior to their albums. So, who knows? Maybe we’ll have a new Daft music video and single release tomorrow?! Or at least some form of announcement. EDMsnob is a reliable source, and…EXCITEMENT."

The EDMsnob stuff seems completely unrelated. Why would he be thanking twitter followers if it were DP news? He also mentioned something about a Monday announcement here: https://twitter.com/EDMsnob/status/287676043995799552 and in that conversation, R3hab congratulates him for something that's supposed to come out on Monday to which he says "shhhhhhh."

Someone buying the connection please explain a scenario in which the personal success/endeavors of EDMsnob for which he is to be congratulated and is thanking people has anything to do with DP.

Although those tweets have been deleted the same kids said the link below is what was in the snapchat. It would appear that the video has to do with that DJ American Idol or Avicii but clearly has nothing to do with Daft Punk. So everyone can go back to making connections between the DP website going down and various non related events.

in case anyone is wondering...the song is "zombies" by manufactured superstars. I think it's unreleased but i know this for a fact because my friend is doing an official remix of it and it's the exact same vocals as in his version (which is also unreleased but he plays it live). this is just to reiterate that it does in fact have nothing to do with DP
