Have you considered that Daft Punk may no longer need sums of money to play? They are big enough to where anyone with money (like Disney) could keep them occupied with other creative commercial outlets

Of course anything could happen....I mean hell, now all of a sudden we are talking about The Knife maybe being there or next year at least... Daft Punk/The Knife 2014 are legitimate possibilities.

A friend got an email this morning from Souncloud that listed Daft Punk for Coachella. I went to the Soundcloud site and searched for "Daft Punk Coachella," Coachella 2013 comes up, although when you click on the link they aren't in the list of bands. Just to test out their search, I did one for an act that has never played Coachella in the past and no results come up, then I tested "Tool Coachella" and only their past appearances show up. My thinking is that the lineup is set up in their search engine but don't yet show up in the search results themselves.

Finally. This is great but fails to mention that Skrillex is making his own music from scratch, working with legendary musicians and cutting edge musicians alike, while Daft Punk just take some records from their dads and loop them and call it a "new song." Sorry but there is no skill in sampling, whereas Skrillex's sound design is 100% original and he is pushing the envelope constantly.
