Both series are cool, but Im more addicted to the Fabric Live series which are different than the Fabric ones. Fabric is more to house, techno, electro, a 4/4 straight beat pattern. Fabriclive ones are more oriented to breaks/drum and bass, great! Ive not heard many Kicks albums but my list of favorites is:

DJ Kicks: Kruder and Drofmeister, Thievery Corporation, Nightmares on Wax, Four tet

    Fabric 01 : Craig Richards
    Fabric 07 : Hipp-E And Halo
    Fabric 08 : Radioactive Man
    Fabric 13 : Michael Mayer
    Fabric 15 : Tyrant
    Fabric 17 : Akufen
    Fabric 19 - Andrew Weatherall
    Fabric 29 : Tiefschwarz

Fabric Live 01 : James Lavelle
    Fabric Live 02 : Ali B
    Fabric Live 06 : Grooverider
Fabric Live 08 : Plump Djs
Fabric Live 09 : Jacques Lu Cont
Fabric Live 12 : Bugz in the Attic
Fabric Live 16 : Adam Freeland
    Fabric Live 18 : Andy C & DJ Hype
Fabric Live 22 : Scratch Perverts
Fabric Live 25 : High Contrast
Fabric Live 26 : The Herbaliser
Fabric Live 28 : Evil Nine
Fabric Live 29 : Cut Copy
Fabric Live 30 : Stanton Warriors
    Fabric Live 32 : Tayo

Ellen Allien's Fabric 34 comes out on may, and it will definitely rock!

Fabriclive 29: Cut Copy was one of my favorites albums of last year. I also really like the Diplo disc and I can't wait to get my hands on the Spank Rock disc, which supposedley is a continuation of Diplo's mix.

    I'd choose a 100% cotton, pastel fabric

The fabric series is really good. The ones I have are
Doc Martin, James Lavelle, Diplo, Adam Freeland, John Digweed, Tiefshwarz, and my favorite is Matthew Dear as Audion.

You can listen to samples of each cd on the website

You left out my favorite one by far:
    FabricLive 07:John Peel
where he includes country versions of punk songs like Lust For Life by the Bad Livers and Purty Vacant by The Kingwoods.
I also highly enjoyed the Jacques LuCont one it's got Wordy Rappinghood,Sweet Dreams and Brian Eno's Here Come The Warm Jets on it,along with Royksopp,Mirwais, and the Pixies.
