your ability to see the good in a lot of people. I wish I had that capability. You dont get annoyed with the bullshit and are able to befriend just about anyone. That being said, I do think you are overestimating a lot of the crap people on this board lately. People who come on here to honestly pick fights. People who literally threaten others with violence. People who literally spend 90% of their posts trying to fuck people because they have a cute profile pic. I dont expect anyone to think I am funny and I dont expect to love everyone who posts on here regularly.

its easy to point out the crap. the blatant crap will vanish and there will be some awesome leftovers. a lot of people each year i secretly wish will stay. I hope chris stays again just to name one . and im glad he did before. and i think more people will meet eachother. if not i am ready for that too as it's a part of moving on. ho hum. but i think it will still be super fun if you sniff around.

The funny thing is that the VIP forum was something Dani brought up in chat. Before that, I hadn't even considered the possibility.

Overall I am so happy to text/im/post with so many people here. And I am glad when people stick around all year and we can talk about shows we went to in our cities or meet up if we live near by or argue with jack. or fight about bear vs gorilla. or stay at eachothers apt's when we travel.. lol. it's so much better now than few years ago if you can have the patience to wait it out.

Alright, again I know that I don't really have any business in this discussion, but I've had this exact same situation happen in every single message board/chat room (going back to the AOL 3.0 days--I was a kid, let me off the hook) I've ever become a regular in. And while some of you may not care for my taste in humor or anything else, hell you might very well think I'm 110% bullshit... I still like to think I can make a little sense when I'm trying. So, here's two cents:

I had to abandon a chat room I'd really loved that had some truly great conversationalists in it because we started getting outnumbered so bad that it was literally difficult to read all our comments, we started private rooms and that was kinda alright, but it still ended up dying shortly afterward for whatever reasons. The advantage of a message board when facing this particular problem is that yeah, a lot of these thread topics aren't particularly clever, or have potential for going anywhere clever.

But that really shouldn't prevent us (I'm not in the "us" so much, but I'd like to continue coming here after Coach and I think y'all will probably end up finding me to be a valuable contributor) from having fun. We just have to deal with some jerkoff posts we don't even really have to read if we choose not to, and when they interject bullshit into posts we actually care about you can ignore, or even better just mock on them and fuck with their heads.

It's arguing seriously with dickheads and morons that makes these kinda situations start to fell like a drag, IMHO. You have to just make fun of and fuck with the dickheads and morons, which is fun, and try to find ways to keep shit fresh and amusing (e.g. my Board Civil War idea, although I don't mean to be pimping that particularly).

Can I get a witness? Or should I reckonize that this is Sparta via some STHU spears?

I think a lot of the vibe has changed here cause what started out with people like Pot and Rage being total pricks to pretty much everyone across the board for no reason slowly turned into people actually being really mean to specific people personally. All of a sudden, the quips and the putting people in their places wasn't funny anymore. It was and is just unnecessarily mean; and in the case of amyzzz, it made me feel more for her than I would have even cared to if she had just been left alone, or fucked with Pot/Rage-style. I think that made sense. I hope.
