At least not on Friday or Saturday
Maybe leave early on Saturday and catch his Vegas show instead of the chili wankers

I'm going to be in Vegas before Coachella and wanted to go to this on April 14. I phoned up the venue and they told me that he was ending his run on March 31. Maybe he was negotiating to play Coachella and it fell through. Whatever. If there are tix available for the 14th I am so there.
Has anyone else bought tix for this show?

Fuck... fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck.
Bah. I knew he wasnt going to be added. But it would be have been amazing.
No worries, I just pulled up 10 tickets for the April 14th gig. Don't wait around, though, the shows will sell out.
Use that Ticketmaster link I posted above to purchase your tickets. It's Will Call only, so just show up on time and pick up your tickets at the 3121 window at the Rio.
Prince doesn't normally start until 12am, and he usually hosts an after-party as well. Find out more info when you get there, try to chat up some of the hardcore fans, they'll clue you in. Or else, ask around in the Prince chatrooms: http://www.prince.org/msg/12
Have a great time, bro.
I phoned up the venue to find out a bit more info and they hit me with all the rules and regulations - must wear collared shirt, dress trousers and shoes - no jeans, no trainers, no t-shirts. Sounds a bit wanky to me so I think I am reluctantly going to give it a miss.
The other thing that is preying on my mind as well is the first couple of days I am in Vegas are the busiest for me of the whole week. Got press conferences from 8am to 8pm on Sunday. Don't fancy doing that after two hours sleep.
Bit bummed out 'cos Prince is great but I've seen him three times before and I'm not sure the vibe would be as cool at this place as when I've seen him previously. I reckon the high prices of tix will make it a bit of a corporate affair, which is a shame as it would be good to see the little fella jam out up close.

Well, I decided at the last minute that I would go to the Prince gig after all last Saturday, as I heard from a friend who went that they were pretty lax with the dress code.
And was I ever glad I did. Was awesome to see him in such an intimate venue. He dropped some classic tunes and the sound system was excellent. He even did some Sly Stone songs, and a female vocalist he had with him sung Gnarls Barkley's Crazy as well. Also had twin sisters on backing vocals who were hot as hell. Don't know how he does it. Brilliant show.
Shame he's playing there when Coachella is on. He would bring the fucking house down. Here's hoping he plays next year.

I have been hoping for an appearance by "His Purpleness" for the last two or three years. If he can lower his dress code to allow the unkempt masses to enjoy his show.
