Well, are they?
You were just looking for an in to the forum, weren't you?
i dont think it would be half as fun if it wernt for the costumes
robots: Daft Punk?
according to popbitch, supposedly not.
this is a question of faith.
I listened to the DP coachella boot with my kids this morning, and my daughter told me she really wants to see a DP concert. The problem is, I don't really want to babysit at a concert; I want to party. Oh well.
that would be the best first concert EVER. i almost wish it had been mine, but then im not sure i could have appretiated it as much as i did.
My kids already went to their first concert back in 2005: The White Stripes. They were 5 and 3 back then. The 5 year old fell asleep because it was a school night.![]()
haha. those were the days
Shut up, Tom.

I have friends with the same problem. Their kids love the DP coachella boot, and are begging Dad to take them to see them. Could you imagine your parents taking you to something like that when you're a kid? I think that would have been heroic.
If DP plays 2 nites nearby on their next tour, the first nite is for us "adults", the second will be for the kids. Perhaps they will stop in Vegas before or after Los Angeles.
all i know is i cant post on the other board. but this seems like a good place to vouch for the tinnitus thing. cuz its true. thomas had tinnitus from the clubs and then stopped immersing himself in music all together giving his ears time to rest. so it went away, and now they jsut beefed up the audio protection in their helmets. and so he can do shows again
Daft Punk > Humans
I've had Tinnitus most of my life as well, sometimes it's really noticable, other times I don't even think about it. It really sucks when it's loud and you're trying to sleep. Nowadays I wear earplugs at shows.
Has anyone had any success treating their tinnitus?
Thomas has actually been out doing surprise shows with the ED Banger Crew...sans mask or any kind of DP robot gear. The man is back! He's even got a remix or two coming out for the ED REC 12" series.
HUMAAAAAAAAAANNN ..... (rooooooh boooooooot)
HUUUUUMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANN.... (roooobooooot)

human after all!
ACTUALLY though if you really want the answer to the question, watch daft punk's film Electroma! it will give you the answer to your questions.

1. Run to a nice patch of grass on the fields and lay face down.
2. Tilt your head ninety degrees with your forehead temple resting on your forearm and watch people through the vision pocket right underneath your armpit hair.
3. Do this for a few hours until you get comfortable.
A Daft Punk thread containing 'nothing of substance'. How bout that.
