Probably doing this, with the healthy possibility of split sets and missing sets entirely to drink beers
Saturday: Lemuria - Crystal Antlers - Metz - Ty Segall - Joyce Manor - the Breeders/Title Fight - The Locust - Dan Deacon - TV on the Radio - Flag - Death Grips
Sunday: Comedy - Fear Of Mean - The Orwells - Chelsea Wolfe/Poolside - Kurt Vile - Touche Amore - Glasser - Baroness - The Melvins/Washed Out - Les Savy Fav - My Bloody Valentine
Kumail Nanjiani is listed on the FYF app but not on the schedule. Weird.
Am I the only person really crushed by the Les Savy Fav vs. Omar Souleyman conflict?
Also, does anyone have insight as to what Nosaj's show is like these days? Is he still doing the (very tasteful, IMHO) projector routine? A la http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NPSiL4JG-IM

11/24 Beck Song Reader - Walt Disney Concert Hall
I only saw How To Dress Well on his first tour. It was him singing over a backing track, which I tend to hate, and I was very much prepared to leave after the first three songs were less powerful than on the record. Then, lo and behold, he tells a short, personal story, gets this look of absolute conviction in his eyes and kills the rest of the show. He has the potential to be fantastic live, and I'd recommend catching him.
I feel like I have had many opportunities to see Kurt Vile and keep missing him for some reason, so he is a must-see for me.
But the nice thing about festivals? if you don't love what you're watching you can always walk away and watch something else.
And it's not to say Kurt Vile is BAD, but he's always just been kind of meh for me. The Largo set was definitely the best of the three times I've seen him, but it wasn't spectacular by any means.
Has anyone else downloaded the app and looked at the festival map? I'm assuming the Carrie stage is the main stage, but hasn't the main stage always been the one in the middle? The app map has the stages as (L-R) Miranda--Charlotte--Samantha--Carrie.
12/12 - Dismemberment Plan @ Fonda
The Yeah Yeah Yeahs and MBV are on the Carrie stage. It's the main stage.
The Holocaust is right around the corner- seriously cannot wait!

I don't know how I'm going to break this up.
As of now, I plan on recording the following:
Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Yo La Tengo
My Bloody Valentine
Les Savy Fav
and maybe a couple early bands.
I wanted to get SMD, but given that its a DJ set, I'm probably gonna pass.
I'm a huge fan of Kurt Vile, and I thought his set at Coachella was just okay. Certain parts where he and his band jammed were great, but most of the time he just seemed...bored and lazy. I might check him out again, but I'll probably see HTDW.Originally Posted by woogie846
