The days should be longer! I fucking hate that they aren't starting most of the music until 3pm.

You're 21 now. Sooner or later you'll come to appreciate the fact that later starting days means more time for pre-festivities!

Pre-festivities from 10am-noon would sound just fine to me. There's other days to drink, the music of FYF fest only comes once a year. I also dont have money to spend going OUT to drink a ton on top another thing I spent money for you know?

If you are talking about Delorean (and I don't see the Animal Collective comparison at all), then you know it. I was interested in seeing Deerhunter again, but I prefer Delorean.

Also, good call on Baroness, Bmack. I haven't been excited to see a metal band since Mastadon in 2009.

They even have a guy who looks like and does exactly what Geologist does in the band. Fun show at the Echo a few years ago, but shamefully unoriginal.

    Exhibit A:

    9/21 - Caetano Veloso - Hollywood Bowl
9/26 - William Basinski - Pasadena Arts Council
    9/28 - Bob Mould - Roxy (?)
    10/01 - King Crimson - Orpheum
    10/10 - Thurston Moore/Sebadoh - Echoplex (?)

Black Flag with Henry Rollins is the only Black Flag I've ever really liked. Everything else sort of seemed weak. Unless Rollins suddenly decides to kill himself for the fans with another music tour, Black Flag at their hardest will never be again.

Realistically, if Rollins ever did a music tour again, he'd be performing his own music, which would definitely be worth skipping Death Grips for. As it is, FLAG sounds like a cool opener for Death Grips. If you're a Black Flag fan, then just appreciate the puppet show, and enjoy that hard hitting drummer. Death Grips will kill.

Holy Ghost will be part of the New Noise Music Festival in Santa Barbara.

They are going to be at Velvet Jones Friday 10/18 if you decide to make the trip.

    10/29 Tycho - Ventura Theater
    10/31 QOTSA - Forum
11/4 United Nations - Los Globos

I mean... next weekend is at least the third time they've been in LA since I've moved here. And I'd seen them a few times before that when I lived back on the east coast. So I'm not really worried about getting to see them again... Which is a primary reason why the MBV/HG! conflict is rather easy in my mind. Both acts were high on my list, but MBV definitely does not present as many opportunities for me to catch them live.

You are going to hear MBV no matter where you are on the festival grounds, so I don't know why you'd even bother going to listen to some other act with MBV bleed.
