That is interesting that all those bands did play the Huntington Beach surfing thing a year or two ago.

Holy shit this lineup is amazing. I'm so pissed this is the same weekend as the Red Sox/Dodgers series.

I think it's more a misunderstanding then reading comprehension. In 2011(not 08 or whenever you were saying) TVOTR did infact have a full set.

Tvotr plays longer than 75 mins, get over it and move along.

Speaking of, does TVOTR (or MGMT for that matter) have a new album coming out?

Mgmt has one coming out later in the year. Tvotr seems to be working on new songs but no news on an album yet.

So the 2-day pass looks like a single ticket this year, unless I'm looking at it wrong. Makes selling off one day a little more difficult if I change my mind down the line.

Well not really, it should be able to be sold just as easily. It probably allows for one scan Saturday and one scan Sunday.

That makes Sunday potentially free for lots of people. Just look for discarded tickets on the ground from people who bought 2-day passes. I bet it happens.

    Sold in advance at least.

Its more of a bother having to hold onto the ticket for two days. Last year my ticket got destoyed by some sunscreen getting on it, so it was nice having the separate ticket.

They're also selling (a limited amount of) 1 day tickets starting tomorrow....idk why anyone would buy a 2 day ticket and only go one day.

It was spray sunscreen! The top got pushed down in my bag during Dinosaur JR(?) I think it was being mashed in up at the front, and it drenched everything. That bag still smells like sunscreen...

That's the answer right there. I bet they're pretty limited.

My questions was more related to convenience. I plan to go both days, but should I change my mind I was figuring there would be two separate tickets like last year. Whatevz.

Remember when Coachella had 1 ticket that they turned into a 3 day wrist band at the gate? Not sure if FYF wants to go through the expense of that or replicate the '11 clusterfuck system, but that's still a possibility as well.

Has anyone done the VIP here before? I am buying tickets today and wanted to look into the VIP but not sure how worth it it is. I like the idea of a separate entrance and full bar though.

Did you go last year? I didn't buy VIP last year, but I couldn't see any perks from my vantage point. The regular beer garden was very large and I liked how it was situated on a hill so there was a good view. But I think that the VIP entrance is less of a walk from the metro?

When I get my ticket today, I gotta make sure to NOT accidentally select Will Call. Don't know how I did that last year but it cost be about an hour and half of fun times.

I didn't go last year, that's kinda why I was asking. I went to hard day of the dead and the entrance was such a cluster fuck that I swear the cost of VIP would be worth it...

Oh man, I didn't go to hard day of the day, but I went to Hard Summer and it was a pain in the ass. This was nothing like that all. Of course, it could change this year, but I found entering the festival to be a breeze. Just a bit of a walk. Basically, you pass the VIP Entrance right away and then walk the length of the park to the main entrance. Not sure if lines will be longer since it is starting later, but it was nothing like hard summer, in my opinion.

Looks like I am going to be away from the computer. Anyone ever use Frontgate's site on their phone? If so, how did it work for you? Any chance this sells out in less than an hour?

I think that last year there were still tickets available day of. I don't think it will sell out in an hour, but I do think they'll probably have better ticket sales than last year.

I figure it is going to have a lot better sales this year, so I am a little nervous. I would usually never sweat it, but you never know.
