I bet. Yeah I'd definitely wear some Etymotics, my hearing is bad enough as it is.

Would Flying Lotus really play after playing the same park like 2 weeks before?

A curveball sounds exciting. I don't live in LA but have attended the past two years' FYFs because it's been a great spot to catch the hardcore and punk band reunions of the past few years my area tends to miss out on as well as the indie-ish bands who also don't travel near where I live. There haven't really been any outstanding reunion stories from the past year, though, so I'm trying not to get my hopes up that the upcoming lineup will be remarkable enough to make travel out to LA for a third time consecutive year.

So, tickets will be $99 for the weekend pass, $65 limited single day tickets and go on sale this Thursday?

Last year's were $77 at face value, so $22 is a pretty steep hike.

honestly that increase is not necessarily bad news.

While I enjoyed paying $77 last year, $99 for an awesome two day fest is still not bad at all.

Can't wait to see who is playing this when the lineup drops tomorrow.

It could definitely mean a bigger name of a headliner or just overall bigger acts, but if it just means a lineup as consistent as the past few years -- I wouldn't say it's not worth it, but my wallet would make a sad face.

C'mon, nobody even mentions when Coachella raises their ticket prices to $349, but an extra $22 for FYF gets criticized?

What if they book NIN? What. If.

Would explain the price jump and increase in secrecy, to me. Two weekends after OSL, NIN only doing festivals at the moment with no LA area appearance announced? Couple it with NIN not being ready for Coachella and the new Goldenvoice/FYF partnerships.

/lol, k I'm bored. Tis crazy don't actually respond to that with logic.

It's only $22, which isn't a bank breaker, but it's also a 25% increase from last year, which isn't very subtle when you look at it on paper. $85, I wouldn't have flinched or thought to look back at what I paid last year to compare. But whatever, $45 a day is still not a bad deal. With Coachella, you already know you're going to have to shell out, so whatever rise they make still amounts to "a large chunk of cash out of your wallet."

That's certainly not the craziest thing I've ever heard. Especially with NIN playing Mountain Oasis, a festival that is more expensive but still comes out to $50 per day (at the first price level, anyway).

I was actually thinking Beck. He's doing a string of tour dates on the east coast during early August which means he might return the favor to the west coast later on. Plus, FYF Fest seems like the right size festival for him to play at these days.

A lot of people did, and that it was a similar increase in comparison to FYF. Also, Coachella hadnt raised the ticket price in 6 years.

Hologram set from Paris and the UK?

The curveball will make this increase justifiable.

Yeah yeah, San Bernardino giant amphitheater and other shit everyone has been saying. Find a cock and actually say something of worth.

Enjoy your morning refreshing all your sites so you can race to be the first one to post the lineup.
